I am wondering what is your preferance for games.. not necessarily what you play the most (though they can be the same). If you'd like to share what you chose and the why of it, that would be great! This poll is for my own personal interest and has no intentions of being posted in a newsletter/blog/ etc. Thank you!

I chose scenario. For me, when a game has an objective other than "kill off the enemy", it adds a reason to the battle as well as depth - making it less 2 dimensional.

However, I really would like to play a nice long campaign as I really like the idea of linked battles with a good story behind it. Sadly, I haven't ever played one, but hope to someday.

I chose scenario as well. To be honest the type of scenarios I prefer are all just pitched battles with some extra thrown in. Like bonus points for holding X, or killing Y. Stuff like that. I'm not a huge fan of the 40k style scenarios where you can still win a game just by holding a couple points on the board even though your army is mostly wiped out.

Pitched battle is all I have been able to play so far.

Edit: did have some 2 vs 2 games though.

I will take any kind of battle I can get! Bring it on! My local club is more interested in 40k than Fantasy. Recently, the fantasy game pickings have been pretty bleak.

Pitched battle for at least half my games.

Occasional other scenarios, multiplayer games, SoM etc. for variety if stuck playing the same armies for a while.

Pitched battle, 2-3000 points.

I do very much like the idea of a full on campaign, and we got one going for a while but it fell flat.
