Looking at it again I think I would recast the big armour plates and make a full set to go all along his back. That could probably go a long way to make it look like it's actually armoured and not merely decorated.
 
I actually think the model does not look too bad, but I agree with Anton, I would also have given it more armor.

Though, at the price range it will end up in I dont believe I can justify getting it, as it would not see much action. Hopefully I will be able to get one cheap off ebay in a year or two.
 
The illustration and the fluff excerpt present a combination of being regal and ferocious. The model is merely ferocious. Obviously regal and ferocious is a tough combo to pull off so that's a tough check to cash.

Tough talons. I'm willing to pay lots of money for a superb model, but this is merely a good model. At this price level I want the sculpt to be nigh-perfect.

It's tempting to convert my own Dread Saurian but I have about 120 models to convert first.

when im next home ill try and rano everything up and get some proper pictures:) combination of my painting and girlfriends. check the armies on parade thread for more of our stuff :D
 
Damn! I feel obliged! The dread saurian is far from how i want it and its at my girlfriends house! i should be going over sunday so ill get pics and update the thread :D
