why? Why? WHY??


1.) they create confusion to all new members
2.) even old members post fewer pics, and links (which make for less exciting posts)

who is responsible for this? Can it PLEASE be changed back to the standard format?

To clarify, we have a thread here and a sticky in the painting forum clearly explaining how they work, and the reason it is in place is because for a while we were getting a string of SPAMbots posting some very explicite images which were entirely innapropriate for the board. To combat this, image tags were turned off completely, but that stopped any of us using them, so we made the custom tags. now people can use images and SPAM-bots can't and everyone is happy.
