Right so my mate wants revenge against my lizzies . We only play with 3 in our neighborhood, so i only play against WoC and O&G. Time to test something new again, taking 2 lords in a 2k game and making a skink cohort horde with kroxies in it. Anyway here is the list: Lords: Saurus old blood (goes in the TG's) Shield, light armor Magic: Obsidian blade, talisman of preservation Slann mage priest (alos of course goes in the TG's) BSB Razpr standard Disciplines: Becalming cogitation, harmonic convergence Magic: Channeling staff, the egg of Quango (just for fun xD), taking lore of light to test it out. Core: 20 Saurus warrios Full command 34 skinks, poisoned attacks along with 3 kroxies Special: 23 temple guards with full command Rare: Ancient steggie with engine of the gods The razor standard might be a dumb idea when my old blood joins them, because of his magic weapon, but my TG will have a good day using that standard. Any thoughts?
I'll take another look over this later, but right now I can tell you that the Skroxigor unit is a waste of points. They will BLEED combat resolution agains WoC and he will be able to kill off the Kroxigor fairly easily in the unit (he will attack first, 3's to hit, 4's to wound and you get not a great save), then the Skinks will do basically nothing in response since they will be 5's to hit the WoC unit (or 6's if he's smart and takes Mark of Nurgle). Let me have a think about the rest.
I hear ya about the skroxigor unit, but since we only have 3 core units in our list, i want to take something else then always those saurus warriors and skirmishers... I hope when GW brings back the old world, we get some more core...
Well this I totally understand! The Skroxigor unit seems like such a good idea until you do the Mathhammer on it... Then it’s a rather large liability... Go ahead and play it. Should be a laugh.
Huh? Did you have no dispels? Was it cast with irresistible force? Considering this is one of the most anti-Lizardmen spells there is, I’m curious as to how he got it off.
Didn't have a scroll and he rolled higher as me, had two attempts to dispell, rolled three 1s with 4 dice, 2 times
Wow. The Dice Gods made you their champion in the first game and then threw you away in the second. Fair enough. You obviously took Becalming Cogitation which was a smart move.
I'm such a noob... I rolled 1 on my look out Sir with my slann, after a while i realised that if a slann is in a TG unit, he automatically passes any look out Sir.
If there's one thing I can tell you, and this is from someone who is EXTREMELY studious about learning the rules, you will ALWAYS forget something. For something that battle changing (losing Slann), I would advise taking a short break, get something to eat/drink and have a little think about it. That should help not miss out on key rules.
