Happy new year! Hope you all are doing well.
I've decided to start this year with personal blog and finally post photos of my miniatures, from the oldest ones to recent ones. Warhammer, Kings of War, Dungeons and Dragons - it's a mish-mash of various reptilian lads and lasses.
1) Skink priest, still nice and charismatic. Also represents Druid for Kings of War games.

2) Saurus warriors, I personally prefer these bulky fellas to the skinny version with head crests. The orange one also serves as a Salamander Prime or Unblooded (adult or young warrior from KoW).

3) Salamander (and also Lekelidon in Salamander armies).

4) Terradon rider (Ghekkotah Skylord in KoW) and a single Terradon. There was a 2 year gap between painting the beast and the skink in the first case, which is kinda obvious)

5) Cold One rider (and Kaisenor Lancer as well). Tried to get rid of the headcrest, so the whole army would look cohesive.

6) Skink skirmishers / warriors (also Ghekkotah Warriors). I tried to divide them into smaller kinship bands, which are somewhat related (back scale colours, for example). So far, there are dark blue group, green and light-blue.

7) Skink archer (and Ghekkotah Hunter), nice and chubby. Still a great miniature.

8) Artakl, the Clutch Warden from KoW. The first official Ghekkotah miniature from Mantic and it looks quite good.

9) Salamander Prime. A sturdy miniature with great two-handed weapon option and questionable leather belts included into design.

10) Converted Salamander Veteran (or Mage-Priest) with artifact that grants fly, also my first freehand attempt.

11) Greater Fire Elemental, made from one of Fyreslayers' magmic invocations. Pretty fitting for a reptilian creature made of flames and magic.

12) And, finally, my main hobby focus nowadays - DnD stuff. Starting with a simple lizardfolk archer (also my druid and monk in several games).

13) Gorgon, with colour scheme inspired by Fortress' Mighty Gorgon from Heroes of Might and Magic III. Perhaps, my best attempt at colour gradient.

14) Forest Spirit (or Treeman, Tree Herder, etc.). I've only recently discovered a small frog on the back of the miniature - will probably highlight it later)

15) Familiars, namely fiendish venomous snake and fey owl. I used two hefty dice as bases for them.

16) In my first thread on this wonderful forum thrice-respected @Scalenex asked me to notify him about my customised miniatures for dragonborn and lizardfolk playing characters. The time has finally come, starting with dragonborn paladin. I used one of Stormcast Eternals for body, and it certainly worked (without those weird masked helmets the golden boys are decent).

17) Dragonborn fighter, created from Blood Warrior. The dynamic pose is really satisfying.

18) Lizardfolk cleric Vyth-Ja with Life domain. Hero of many adventures and bearer of a shield made from a tyrannosaurus rex named King of Feathers.

19) Irthos Zurtuljorl, lizardfolk wizard of Abjuration school. I had to give him a potion-chugging pose as original model (Reptisaur Hunter from Massive Darkness expansion) used a blowpipe.

20) Rikhard Bronnzile, paladin of Conquest and warlock of Hexblade. A renowned hero and the only case of transferring sci-fi miniature (chaos lord Kranon from the Crimson Slaughter warband) into a fantasy setting. And his pseudodragon familiar.

21) Verzel-Kuhri, lizardfolk barbarian. He shows how great new Saurus models are (I used Saurus Blocker from Blood Bowl as a basis). One of my personal favorites)

22) Aesthyr, lizardfolk storm sorcerer. To be honest, her base is quite rough, so I will likely create something better for the model. Lightning effect was pretty fun to paint)

23) Kepesklex, lizardfolk cleric with Light domain. Based on lizardfolk shaman from Nolzur's Unpainted Miniatures, and some of their sculpts are pretty great.

Great work.

I like the red-winged Terradon and the Storm Sorcerer best.

24) Orn-Ner, lizardfolk paladin of Ancients. In this case I salvaged Nolzur's model with horrendous molding mistakes and made this lady with a spear.

25) And, of course, there are some work-in-progress models. Like Ner-Iss, lizardfolk wizard of Enchantment school.

26) Or Grimdall, dragonborn paladin and bard. Although he was destroyed quite thoroughly during encounter with a god-like entity, so this model will represent another hero.

27) Zero, lizardfolk rogue and fighter. And another version of Irthos. These models required just head swap and taill attachment, as base miniature were wonderfully stylish.

28) Brohild Tantalar, dragonborn artificer. A spare head from one of Nolzur's kits came in really handy.

29) Darrlack Sun'Drag'Gar, dragonborn barbarian. I tried using the snakeman head and it kinda worked for a dim-witted character.

30) Bron Tull'Argent, dragonborn paladin, sorcerer and wizard. Here I utilised nice new Chaos Warrior from the updated Start Collecting! set, and the pose is really nice. Although trying to put those in a formation is going to be a nightmare.

31) Finally, my most recent project of Aryte-Miirik, lizardfolk paladin and bard. I tried to give here an impression of movement and the result does look neatly for now.

Phew! I surely hope to finish all these WIPs and also hope to see new wonderful projects on this forum!

Regarding the Terradon: I was inspired by Rodan from recent Godzilla movies and tried to recreate the image of flaming pteranodon-like creature with twin horns.

I am curious how you made the spikes. This is something I've dabbled in and my crude attempts to make spiked backs are less than a quarter as awesome as yours.

I use the excuse that I am making mutant undead lizards with spikey backs so any mistake I made were "deliberate," but it would be nice if I could it right too.

For the spikes on the back I took the part from the back of a Bloodcrusher rider (perhaps usual Bloodletters have those as well), cut it into three pieces and filled gaps with green stuff.

This one is without a doubt my favourite, and has given me real inspiration to see if I can convert the three Sequitors I got from the first issue of Mortal Realms into Kroxigors (in particular as I got my first pack of Green Stuff for Christmas), but all your work is fantastic!

Interesting that you prefer the old 5th Edition Saurus to the current ones, we don't have many fans of those models here, but it's great that they still have a following of their own, they strike a different aesthetic but they're still Lizardmen, and if there's anywhere they can get some love, it should be here!

The work continues, and another hero joins the team.
32) Gweddryan, the drake warden. This one is based on Reaper's half-dragon, and the metal miniature sure has nice sculpt. Although it is a bit heavy on additional details like feathers and jewelry.

33) Surt, her young and faithful drake companion. Reaper's Bones red dragon wyrmling that had so many mouldlines. The painting is simple but, I think, not too shabby. Also I tried Skeleton Horde for leather membranes on wings and it worked quite well, may use that for Terradons and other flying creatures, with lesser number of layers, of course.

This pair will definitely see another version as drake grows with character progression and I've found nice version for Gweddryan as well, from Artisan Guild sculpts.
