Yeah I don't think I'll ever get tired of seeing Bastiladons, it is one of my favourite models in all of Warhammer.
Following the basic paint scheme of my Skinks, I went ahead and based them using Kantor Blue, and then Teclis Blue for the back scales.
It was now time to paint all thing metallic and the weapons! Started of with the javelins, which were painted using Rhinox Hide for the stick and Leadbelcher for the pointy end. For the shiny parts, what I like to do with my Seraphon is give them an old, deteriorated bronze and I went for the same thing here, basing everything with the Brass Scorpion layer paint (2 thin coats are absolutely needed here!) and a wash all over with Agrax Earthshade. The big gem was based with Lothern Blue and then edge highlighted using White Scar. I still got some work to do to really step up my edge highlighting but I think it turned out ok!
All that is left are the eyes, which I painted using Flash Gitz Yellow, as I like to give them the Daemon feel! And done! The painting of the model itself is over. We now have our 2 Bastiladon brothers on their new base! (My blue basti still had a rectangle base so I wanted to switch him up!)
I think he is but a better solution would be to apply a recess wash in between the plates it will help define the edges, don't use nuln oil it's too dark I would use Druchii violet.
