Gotta say my fave is stegosaurus, although triceratops and carnotaurus are right up there. In warhammer it is without a doubt the big ol stegadon
What about Caiman (http://www.lustria-online.com/threads/poll-how-to-name-our-9th-age-dinosaurs.17130/page-2) those are also still living Archosaurs
Because I am scientific and ergo unfunny neither are dinosaurs though, BIRDS on the other hand...they'll wreck you stuff so, look no further for a dino descendant
That's why every Thanksgiving, I also give thanks to the dinosaurs for the turkey I get to eat. Afterall, there wouldn't be a turkey without the dinosaur.
Unfunny scientist aside, I believe he just meant that alligators are close relatives The key to the confusion laid in the end of my statement: " those are also still living Archosaurs" You got to read the whole theorem, sometimes
Perhaps this thread should be called: "Your Favourite Archosaur(/Diapsid?)" That way we also get to express our love for rauisuchians and pterosaurs.... oh and crocodilomorpha, of course
I might consider it, since I do love pterosaurs too. Here's my favourite Pterosaur: Tropeognathus, gotta love that beak crest.
Favorite dinosaur? BIRDS are dinosaur descendants you say? Seriously though, as a kid my favorite dinosaur had to be the T-REX himself. Had an old plastic T-Rex toy that I took everywhere, used to fight all the other plastic dinos I had (and always won because he was basically the Captain Kirk of all dinosaurs). Spoiler: Looked something like this... Favorite "pre-dinosaur" was the Dimetrodon though. Also had a toy of this dude, and he was even more awesome than the T-Rex for some reason. These things were extinct long before the dinosaurs showed up (by about 40 million years) and are more closely related to mammals. Also in warhammer they breath fire.
I think I had something similar as well, as a kid The Youtuber Trey-The-Explainer actually had a pretty descent examination, of the current scientific opinion on how dimitrodon looked. If intersted:
