What is your best/most enjoyable hammer unit?
What/who do you put in it?
and when did it save your ass?

Stompy my Ancient Stegadon. Terror charges have saved my ass a few times =P

I played a doubles tournament with my dwarf friend who usually plays against me. It was nice to have a unit of actual hammerers for a hammer.

Whatever the hammerers fought died. Throw a few regrowths on it and it could keep fighting and killing all game without any backup.

First game they ripped through skaven like a hot knife through butter. Second game they singlehandedly took on the Maneaters and Glade Riders that tried to flank us. Third game they got tied down fighting the Steam Tank though, did neglible damage. I loathe steam tanks.

My favorite hammer is either decked out Saurus warriors with spells from Lore of Light or Skrox units hitting a flank.
