Blog Zebulon's Seraphon - Scar Veteran on Cold One WIP

So the next phase is onto my Saurus Knights, this is the mount for my Scar Veteran. He's only been blocked out quickly just to test the pattern, and I must say I think it looks great on the mini. The pattern inspiration is from Jurassic Park 3 and as you can see a couple of posts above I found a very good picture to show it. There will be a few stripes added to the feet and the thighs to match the pattern, but so far I think it's going to have a real bit of punch on the table!

Do thou mind if I copy that scheme fro my carnosaur??

OK thx
When I started reading your answer I actually thought you were going to say "Yeah of course I do mind, It´s my scheme!";)

The Saurus Cav took a really long time for me to paint, glad you have a great color scheme to go with yours! I think they will really stand out when complete, more pictures!

I think I'm going to really enjoy doing them! I did some Saurus warriors earlier and tried to batch do them in a day by dry brushing and just basic colours on them and I'm kind of regretting it now as I'm enjoying the detail in the rest of what I've done so far, so I'm going to take my time with my Knights haha

It's vacuum formed plastic :), only cost me a few pounds (I tried to post a link earlier but my reply is waiting moderation)

Work continues on my Scar Veteran Cold One, highlighted the scales and then highlighted the more substantial areas on the green and red, followed by a lighter dry brush on the green, which helps tie it together and seem to soften the lines between the grey/ green skincolours. Gold, skulls, claws, saddle and base and then I thinks he's just about done. Though the more I paint him the more I think It's Yoshi from Mario! I should get him finished by the end of tomorrow as I'm home alone tomorrow night.

On another random tangent, I was at the beach and found the almost perfect hero rock for my Old Blood!

Lastly I have a AoS game tonight!

Looks good so far! That is a great rock for a hero! And good luck with the game tonight!

I love that cold one scheme, did I say it so far? :p

So while the cats away...... not quite what I had planned for tonight but painting has illuded me today. This chap is going to be my Astrolith Bearer, a few spare Saurus Warrior and Knight bits et voilá! Should help with my summoning ;):D. He's meant to carry a war pick but because he's an old temple guard mini he's very set in his pose, so a shield had to do!
