A Tale of four (many?) Warlords Painting Challenge!

I've come to the decision that my heart isn't in the Dark Eldar at the moment so I have to go where my attention span takes me, ergo all the space marines I've been doing (all in the time frame of this challenge anyway so i'm not cheating!) So far i've painted a Captain and constructed + primed a tactical Squad. I have a rhino to do and a squad of terminators, so hopefully that fulfils the quota :p

I just ordered some more stuff for my bases, but it's got to ship from Poland so going to delay things slightly, I don't want to paint until the bases are complete so I guess I'll carry on building... Two Hurricanums to magnetise.
 
Waiting for more basing supplies so decided to spend the week working on an entry for the local GW painting competition.

Half the stuff I need for these bases is on order though, so not a clue how long it'll be.
 
Fabius Bile is the first thing I have painted in about a month due to the move, so it's slow going! Hopefully it'll be a good warm up for the main event...
 
My basing supplies are delayed on back order... Could be up to 3 weeks. Really don't want to half arse this army, so think I'll try and set myself some other painting goals instead.

I set the kids at my wifes school a painting challenge, so I might just paint up some prizes for that out of my bits box and go from there, sounds like a better use of my time!

Yes it does, specially because I LOVE the new models (except for those psychic assault marines), but I really think the lore is nonsense. Plus with the decisions I had taken for my chapter the modified genetic seed would not be accepted (they see it as sacred and unchangeable). I could just say that they got the new equipment from mars and put it on normal marines (which I think is what GW should have said from the start). I´d carry on with the normal marines but I fear the moment when the primaris take over and small marines aren´t produced anymore.

I think I´ll just start a tyranid army (my second favorite, and one of the best looking armies with necrons in my opinion) so I can still play 8th edition.
 
You don't always have to apply to GWs lore though, just make your own if you want :)

Yeah but it has to be at least "friendly" with it, and saying the exact opposite isn´t exactly so :joyful:
 
I don't know anything about Tyranids, people describe them like a swarm... So I imagine you end up painting tons of chaff units.
