What destruction Age of Sigmar army would you start?

I'd probably advice against Gordrakk though. He isn't worth the point difference, especially because he cannot use command traits and artefacts.

Just wondering as if I started Fyreslayers for AoS I was mostly thinking of keeping my army small, around 1000-1500, up to 2000 with allies, and was wondering what size is usually used for tournaments and GW events.

Yeah I've spotted that but from a point view he is hefty, I read the rules last night and there is some pretty cool stuff.

I just like painting and always end up with loads of models I never really think about the points but 2000 is a good size and gives you options.

I have nearly 4000 of Legions of Nagash just because I like the models, 3000 Maggotkin and at a guess 5000 Seraphon

But larger points values allows your opponents to field deathstar characters more easily. What is the general size used in tournaments and GW events?
 
So I've got some models in coming a SC and Megaboss now to paint scheme.

I'm thinking Orange and blue or Purple and yellow and I think I will convert most of the army and take my time.

A SC and a Megaboss? I feel the pain your wallet is suffering in that one extortionate purchase.

I was at a GW a couple of weeks ago and saw someone buying a whole Adeptus Custodes army with Trajan Valoris, the new Codex, special dice and all. I felt a great disturbance in the Force that day.

Of he's buying direct from GW oh hell yes that is a disturbance.i don't understand why people buy retail

The SC is £50 and the Megaboss £24 I got them on line for £56
