    Do you prefer the bow or the flamethrower on the stegadon?

    It is simple for me:

    Bow:
    +better range, can hit from round 1;
    +better against single targets;
    - just a worse version of solar engine on average.

    Flamer:
    +beast against hordes;
    +stegadon want get close anyway, because he is good in melee;
    - will take time to get in range;
    - weak against single targets.

    So, it depends on meta. Flamer is a specialist while bow is better all around choice. If you want ram other monsters/tough infantry with horns, I'd take bow. If you want clean chaff - definitely flamers.

    Pretty much as @Nart said.
    The flamer's
    can be mitigated by teleporting the Stegadon, but yeah, I still take the bow most of the time.

    Agreed - bow for the win - we have other units that can easily deal with hordes of needed (razordons, terradons, kroxigor etc etc)

    :)

    Different Question:
    With the ability of the Skink Alpha,
    can a Stegadon move itself in the Hero Phase?

    You Can also build the the Troglodon & Setagon Version of Thunderstrike and send the Troglodon ripping across the table with Stegadon Buffs. It will almost certainly not go well when your reroll engine dies, but it is pretty funny to launch him across the table.

    Yeah I am obsessed with magnets. Many of my models are magnetized. The Steggy is the most extreme one, but I also made a Zombie Dragon that can transform into a Terrorgheist and several other funny convertible models.

    Did anyone ever create such a guide for Terradons // Ripperdactyls?

    The reason I ask is that I finally acquired the plastic kit (I only ever had the old metal-winged versions). I unboxed it yesterday and wow[!] so many :shifty: many fiddly little pieces.

    Magnetizing this is :cyclops: daunting...

    Thanks. I just read through the thread. If nothing else it helped sort out (what to me were) some of the mystery parts.
