Voted chaos dwarfs.

Their roster in tabletob is amazingballs and diverse with tons of different play styles. It would also be interesting to see how greenskin slaves would be handled and whether or not they'll be able to be recruited and serve the Chaos dwarfs' economy as well.

I bet @Karak Norn Clansman is pretty excited for them as well ;)

And it’s another vote for the Chaos Dwarfs! :oldman:

As a close second, I would love to see CA obliterate what is apparently GW’s dreadful Canon about Albion being populated with nothing but cavemen and bring a full Celtic-style army list with appropriate monsters into the game (they already have had experience in doing it with Rome I and II), but I imagine that that would be just a pipe-dream :(

For once we are in full agreement about Dwarfs... I love those chaos stunties.

They'll have to really reach into their past to dig up some legendary lords as the Forge World Legion of Azgorh list only has 1 named special character (Drazhoath the Ashen).

Interesting.... discuss! What do you like about them? I must admit that I know pretty much nothing about them.

Certainly an interesting choice. Essentially fantasy versions of Saracens from the Crusades era with Arabian-Nights themed units like flying carpets and Djinns. They’d probably be my third choice.

Voted Chaos Demons because apart from Ogres that's the only faction I know anything about.
Those two are the only two of the main factions left to be seen. None of the others were mainline armies in 8th edition WFB. The next closest were the Chaos Dwarfs who received a Forge World army list and models. It will be interesting to see how CA proceeds. Chaos Daemons will likely be at the center of attention.

Chaos Daemons will likely be at the center of attention.

They certainly said that it was 'absolute Chaos' in development, hinting that they will probably be the centre of attention. I know Chaos Daemons are one of the two last armies that featured in the Fantasy game to appear, but couldn't they have least gone a more interesting route with more unexplored factions like they did with Vampire Coast and put Daemons in as a side story? :meh:

You can't put Daemons in as the side story. The coming of Chaos has always stood at the centre of WFB and the Chaos Daemons represent the greatest threat. Also, most people know very little about the unexplored factions so they wouldn't be useful in drumming up interest for the game. I think those factions are best left for DLC releases just as the Vampire Coast was. Imagine if Total War Warhammer 3 featured Araby, Cathay, Nippon and Ind. Sales would plummet and it would be a very disappointing conclusion to the series. You just can build a convincing climactic narrative around those.

I know, you're right, but I just get so bored of Chaos being front and centre, both in Fantasy and 40K. Let's just hope Chaos Dwarfs appear as part of this invasion because of the 3 Chaos Factions I like them by far the most.

I certainly like Chaos Dwarfs more than Daemons but I do admit that the Daemons have to be front and center. The Chaos Dwarfs would look really amazing though. I look forward to seeing some Chaos Dwarf maps with all the fire and brimstone!

Do you think CA will adopt the new Forge World aesthetic, the big had aesthetic or some blend of the two?

I'd like to think it'd be a blend of the two, as while the Forge World aesthetic is more up-to-date, Forge World made very few troop types - only two infantry units, one Monstrous Cavalry unit, some characters and a selection of artillery pieces. As with all of the Total War games, the Warhammer Total War games use big rosters, so it is extremely likely that CA will bring some of the old 4th Edition units into the game as well. While it would look more uniform if these units were reworked visually to look more like the FW units, I imagine CA might prefer to stick with the big-hat aesthetic on those to make sure they are still recognisable to fans of the original models, so yes I'd say it's highly likely that the army will be a blend of the two.

Voted for daemons, I feel like total war in AoS or more daemons would be pretty cool.
You bet!

But Cathay will be more of a new discovery, while Chaos Dwarfs by now have become so well-developed, that I voted Cathay in this poll.

CDs are a close second, though.

Looking forward eagerly to see how the Creative Assembly will handle these factions.
