On May 1st all the participants will post a picture of their start collecting (and possibly any other boxes for planned conversions if wished, obviously :p), and once every week of what they´ve done so far, possibly on sundays?

This sound pretty good to me. What do you guys think about the text in orange?

Sorry I missed this originally, yeah I think that's a great idea! I don't want anyone to feel pressured though.

Oh and i'm doing dark Eldar not elves :P

How would people feel about me painting the Tzeentch from Silver Tower instead of buying a Start Collecting box... This is what that would involve:

1 Gaunt Summoner
1 Ogroid Thaumaturge
2 Pink Horrors
4 Blue Horrors
4 pairs of Brimstone Horrors
6 Tzaangors
8 Kairic Acolytes
8 Chaos Familiars

Unit wise that comes in at 34, some are small though. The Ogroid Thaumaturge is a big one, I would count him and the Gaunt Summoner as the equivalent of the big thing in a SC box? Feel free to object!

I think that´s perfectly fine, plus @Crowsfoot ´s not going to do a SC either! I think the point is to paint an army over the course of some time, and that can be done either through the SC or other boxes :)

First thing I always remember when I started back in the 80ies Mick Mcvey then studio painter for GW said "paint what excites you" and that has to be one of the best pieces of advice ever.

So if it floats your boat, go for it ;)

Yeah guys, don't worry about falling into categories or anything!

It's just some friendly incentive to get stuff done in a manageable time frame, and share what you have (or haven't :p ) achieved.

Just make sure you have a good idea of what you are setting out to do before you start.

There's a reasonable chance I am ordering 2000 points of Dwarves + Magic dudes, so going to set some targets for those instead once I lock it down.
