I could be waiting a couple of weeks for my basing materials to arrive, so I'll probably start building the Magmabomb after I am done building dwarves.... I need to get them attached before I start painting, this was poor planning on my part!
My airbrush died after I had primed the griffon and the magmabomb.
I swear this army is cursed.
It's being returned and refunded without question though, so that's something. Going to get a higher quality one this time... But that means my hobby budget for next month is going on an airbrush instead of stuff to paint which is real sad.
Guess what finally turned up?!
Basing materials for my dwarves/collegiate army!
I have these, the lion versions of the same kind of thing, some sand/dirt mix, heather tufts and some "autumnal" flock (which isn't as good as I had hoped, so might not use it at all)...

I have 3 atm
2 were £15 of ebay and are great for priming etc then I have an Iwata eclipse which is a fantastic bit of kit but at over £100 not cheap.
I'm going to pick up this I think: http://elementgames.co.uk/paints-ho...ompressor-bundles/entry-level-airbrush-bundle
The Neo has great reviews, and the compressor being limited to 10 minutes won't affect me so seems like a good choice.
If it's Iwata it will be good quality
I just ordered it so it'll be here Thursday/Friday so I can let you know how it works out at the weekend. Finally I can get some painting done...
Those look awesome! As promised pics of the Reavers.

Well today is the last day of the challenge.

Well today is the last day of the challenge.
I am sorry to inform (much to the surprise of nobody) that I have failed to meet my challenge goal. To be fair, I managed to complete 50% of my goal. So without further delay, I present to you all my completed single kroxigor (apologies for the somewhat poor image quality, I really need to make myself a lightbox)...

Thank you. It took quite a while to complete. It's one of my better works, if not my best... but ultimately I have never been pleased with my painting. It's one of the reasons I don't pursue that aspect of the hobby very much (ironic, a self fulfilling prophecy of sorts). That looks really good, you should paint more you have a good eye.

This Kroxigor is a prototype (which is why I used this old Krox model instead of my shiny new ones), but then I decided to take him to the highest level within my skill set. I'm still looking to settle on a colour scheme for my Lizards. I have a couple of other ideas. This was also my first attempt at marble. I'm pleased with the way it turned out. It looks better in real life, but still room for improvement.
Thanks for the encouragement. I probably should paint my next Kroxigor, but now I have my eye on potentially painting my Marauder unit filler conversion.
