Blog Aginor's Painting Blog

Thanks! I think he might be a tad too much Arkhan the Purple instead of Arkhan the Black, but I just like that color and that way he will fit nicely to my Morghasts, where I first used those colors.
I am also going to use that paint scheme for Nagash, who has been sitting in his box for almost a year now.

But my next project will be some lizards and trees. I have a metal Prophet and Oxyotl, and the Blood Bowl team, as well as an assembled and already primed Arch-Revenant.

I finished Arkhan's base, and that of the Mortis Engine.

I decided to add a few graves to Arkhan's, but leave the Mortis Engine base plain.
I like snow bases, they are relatively easy.

Here is Arkhan and his two bodyguards.

I love love LOVE that shade of purple for the armor, I might try stealing some ideas from your posted paint scheme on my purple chaos warriors.

Out of curiosity how much of a pain are the skulls inside arkhan’s mount to paint?

I think it has potential to look awesome on heavily armored Chaos dudes. :)

Not as much as I initially feared.
The important thing is to paint them first because if you are like me you will get a lot of paint onto the bone parts anyway.
I did not attach the Dread Abyssal's head, the armor, or the front legs to have more maneuvering space.
If I had fully assembled the miniature I would have had a hard time.

Edit: and man I am tempted to get some Ossiarch Bonereapers and use the same paint scheme...

Wow, I haven't posted here in a long time.

Here is my finished Blood Bowl Ogre.

He is an Ogre from the Scraplauncher set, with some Skeleton shields on his shoulders.
He is always hungry so he has a half eaten mushroom in his hand while carrying the ball in his other hand.

I used contrast colors in him (the red and blue) and I am pretty happy with the result.

Primed and sprayed some terrain with Vallejo Air grey.
With the Airbrush color I am finally getting the hang of it, at least for larger surfaces.

....and then I dropped my airbrush on the stone floor right next to the carpet headfirst, and broke my 0.4mm nozzle. 18€ and I hope there isn't more damaged...

Oh no, that's rough. Good luck!

The needle was already pulled back because I was about to put the airbrush in its case, so it is undamaged. At least a bit of luck there.

I wonder when the new nozzle will be shipped. Right now everything is a bit slower than normally.

I might mount the 0.15mm nozzle and needle today and check whether the rest of the airbrush is working properly.

Yeah good idea.

Everything is on a go slow here, Boris announced last night new measures to try and fight the spread but he didn't make it crystal clear who should go to work so I'm at work until my employer says otherwise.

Same here.
Right now we are in a slightly weird position, with a similar "semi lockdown". I am at work, but only because I work in a very small company and there is nobody in my room except me.
