Hmm, online shopping has gone out of fashion over here since PayPal messed up with our family account...

Also it isn’t as nice as going to a Warhammer shop and feeling the sheer awesomeness of the minis surround you and fill you with excitement.

I have a GW about 5 minutes from my house, but I never step foot in it. For me it is usually either Meeplemart or Ebay.

I actually go more often to ordinary model shops rather than GW stores because they often have Fantasy stuff that can’t be bought at a GW store anymore because GW update their store stocks too quickly for me to get to them. Sadly ordinary model shops are much less likely to stock bases.

Ebay has loads of square bases but paypal is essential, I gave a load away on here last year!!

I might have more will check, what size are you after?

Just drop your address in a PM to me and I will send what I find ;)

Very kind of you indeed sir! I have enough square bases to keep me going at the moment but I’ll let you know if I run out and need to get some more cheaply (which will probably occur as long as I still collect and play with Warhammer, which will definitely be for the rest of my life) :)

I prefer FLGS, specifically Meeplemart for multiple reasons. Firstly they offer 15% off of all GW products. Second, they have a massive selection of models, paints and accessories from all the different companies. They have such a massive inventory that you never know what you will find. It's a shame that it is about 40 minutes away and I have to contend with city parking.
But won't you need those when you come back to WFB? ;)

    Cheaply?

They are free I didn't charge @Itepixcauh for the ones I sent him to Spain, your UK so would be even Freerer :D

And I didn't ask him for the postage although he did kindly offer to pay ;)

There’s a model shop about 30 minutes away from me that’s similarly generous called AC Models - 10% off all products and quite a large selection of not just GW models but also Star Wars X-Wing and Star Trek Attack Wing and sometimes 1:72 scale historical soldiers when they get a decent shipment in.

I even offered to pay even more than once to no avail. Sotek bless you @Crowsfoot, may his slippery forked tonge tickle you in all the right places.

Age of Sigmar is pretty fun. For how simple it is, there is a surprising amount of tactical depth involved and I do like systems where your next turn is not always guaranteed since it adds a bit of tension to the game. But this is coming from a painter that sometimes gets to game rather than someone who put any time into play rank and flank style WHFB games. Also the local scene is picking up her in Hawaii and the best games are the ones you get to actually play rather than the ones you want to play but no one cares about (although to be fair I am slowly crafting a 15mm Bretonnia/Brotherhood army for Kings of War so I can play with another guy out here.)

Kings of War is oke of the best tactical games ever made. IT'S EPIC!!

Go to the KoW section of the forum for a lot of battle reports, I've written 18 so far and more to come each month.

Just get movement trays and use the Min miniatures allowed, it gives you great freedom to create some epic bases.

You'll end up with fewer figures per tray than if you did 20mm bases but that never bothered me. Its not like armies meet on the field only in units of 10, 20, and 40 men.

If you are not planning on going to tournaments the number of miniatures on the bases is irrelevant. I've played against empty bases, even pieces of paper. Not great for the pictures but it's perfectly ok for the game itself.
