So the Branchwraith's summoning is tied to a spell--is this the first "unbindable" summoning we've seen?
Hence it's vastly less restrictive. The restriction on Slaanesh is essentially "do what you're already supposed to be doing". The only way for a slaaneshi-player to not generate any summoning-points would be to be well, amazingly terrible.Slanesh will be limited to specific models (Heroes which are limited) and a condition (inflicting or receiving wounds in combat) which may be more or less restrictive than Seraphon depending on circumstances. Sure they will always take heroes but will they always get to fight?
Although summoning looks strong I am far from convinced that it will be the strongest strategy, let alone being the only viable strategy.[/QOUTE]
Given that summoning is no longer going to cost reinforcement points I would suspect it to be (one of) our strongest aspects. Hell, the only reason it currently isn't our strongest aspect is precisly cuz we need reinforcement points given that we can summon literally anything.
it would be far better than binding it to the specific model though. Prevents us from being forced to just Always field a slann.[/QUOTE]Summoning from On High. You have a Slann who is off-board (...looking down from far, far, above** in the Azyr...) but he just keeps sending new stuff in every turn...
**(from a realm far, far, away @NIGHTBRINGER , ”...far, far, away...”!)
They’ll never ^ do that. Fits too good with the fluff they wrote.
mm, at least now there's 2 factions where the summoning is restricted to specific models. Shame they did't clarify how the branchwraith works, it could've anwsered a lot of questions for us. The summoning from Alleriella is just a 1-shot ability so that's directly tied to her model anyway so all that's needed as a drawback for that is just a cost-increase for her (if anything) as it's easy enough to predict it's value.
Alleriella
hush my speling of things is briljantI chuckled
Honestly, this will be so huge for the Engine of the Gods, the biggest drawback it had (rolling 14-17) now has become one of its strenght. We'll have to see the limitations of it though, as in can we really summon anything we want... But I'm really excited nonetheless!
Same here, ordered mine 3 weeks ago at my local game store but no luck yetHilariously, both the Engine of the Gods and the Slann Starmaster models have been out of stock at the USA webstore for weeks. And I don't have an Engine of the Gods yet!
why the hell do the skaven summon clanrats though, that's a tad odd.
Sylvaneth focus is up on the site.
I like it
Hmmm nice.
Pretty strong as well, Alarielle can reliably summon three Kurnoth Hunters or a Treelord or 20 Dryads once per battle!
So not only small stuff (100 points or so) but the equivalent of ~200 points.
Oh and tomorrow there will be another article about magic.
