Blog Caprasauridae's Lizardmen (Woogity's Rex! )

Hey sorry if this is a dead thread but does Woogity still sell those Kroxigor? I'm very interested in buying them!

Dead thread? Dead thread?? *takes a sip of water* Dead *splurts the water out* thread!?

Now I know I don't update this that often, but no need to get hurtful...

I'm just kidding. Yeah, Woogity's thread is the biggest member magnet the forum has ever seen, and at least so far he hasn't told people that he can't make them anymore. Though I don't know if anyone knows how long you'd have to wait for the models.

Lol apologies, I didn't mean it that way honest! Your work is quite good btw love your painting that Kroxigor looks phenomenal! I don't frequent the boards as much as I used too so I was unaware of Woogity and his models. Now that I've seen them I want them lol

I waited around 3 months for mine but it all depends on who drops out of the list, Matt aka woogity keeps a list and follows it to the letter, no exceptions

That's nice to hear, if you don't mind me asking could you maybe PM me the price you payed? I just want an idea of how much they cost

I'd be curious as to the price as well. I posted twice on his thread asking for a price, but never got a reply.

Ok, so I haven't been painting much lately, I have had other projects. But I did manage to finish the Red Dragon, so I'll post some pictures. The base was a lot fun to do, so there's that. Although I couldn't get the icicles straight... Hope you enjoy, questions and comments welcome.

Thanks, Krox! I can post a size comparison picture tomorrow, it's too late for that now. I think it's comparable in size to the old Carnosaur, though the Dragon is not as long and is slender, and could chomp a Skink from Stegadon's back. The Dragon is currently glued on an Army Painter spray paint bottle cap, that can give you some kind of idea of it's size.

EDIT: Here's a very quick comparison with a Steggie

^ Now that a fight I would watch on Pay-Per-View!
Ancient Stegadon and Crew vs Red Dragon!
Fairly even match in melee, but the Skinks give the Stegadon dome ranged protection against the flying opponent... *Imagination whirs off into a frenzy*

Haha, it would be like that cheesy Deadliest Warrior show, but with mythical creatures.

"The mighty Stegadon can trample most things under it's feet, but the Dragon can fly. We will give the maneuverability edge to the Dragon!"

I would watch that, too!

Thank you! Layering the scales (even though the effect is not super-visible) took forever, but it was great practice. I'm happy I did it!

Haven't been really painting or playing anything Lizard-related, so this blog has been pretty quiet. However, I'm now blowing the dust off of other (*cough cough* *sneeze*) to show what the mail brought me today. . .

Ladies and gentle-lizards! I'm extremely happy to present you, the first look at @woogity's Rex on a Horned One!

As you can see, it comes with three different head options for the rider, two weapons and some bling for both rider and the mount. The detailing is super lovely and super sharp (literally, ouch) and the whole model is very well designed. I was almost able to build the thing without glue so that it would stay together! And please note that I haven't done any cleaning to these parts (the pictures were taken in my office as I fetched the package from the near-by post office during the work day), there is very little to clean. They are flash free and almost completely devoid of mold lines. The quality is simply staggering! Be careful when you handle the pieces, though, the resin is a bit brittle as it is not as durable as GW plastic, but also doesn't bend like resin, so it is a little bit more susceptible to breakage. Especially since it's much more delicate than the Colossal.

Hopefully you guys will get yours soon and this board can be filled with pictures of awesomely painted Rex and Colossi!

Indeed that is something really special! Quality and detail is excellent and I like the many possibilities for different builds!
I went with feathers on the head and the hand weapon...
Really excited what yours will look like when finished! ;):P

I adore the feathered head, it's superb! What it comes to painting... I can't make any promises when it will be completed, but you can be sure I'll post pictures on this blog once it is!

That's rough, mate. But now that Woogity's got the model the way he likes, it's just a matter of the printing service making the models and him sorting things out and sending them. Should get speedier now, hang in there.

That dragon is inspiring. Must have taken forever to do the scales

Looking forward to that rider on the horned one! AMAZING model!

Thanks! Yeah, it took a good while, but was great practice, since the scales are so well defined.

And yeah, all glory to Woogity, that model is so great! Hopefully I'll get to paint it soon.
