Blog Neveroddoreven's New Lizardmen

Wow. Just. Wow.

The Carnosaur is so amazing to look at that, unfortunately, the other stunning areas such as the marbling on the weapon handle, the "swampy" look and feel of the base or even the subtle tones on the Oldblood riding him, are glazed over upon first viewing. Further inspection reveals so many gems!

I love it. Are you going to submit him in a Golden Deamon contest? You should. :spiderman:

I think you say it for all on this site, still waiting for @neveroddoreven to do a painting walk through

Not that model, I wasn't trying very hard. I grew to resent the model by the time I was finished, I didn't even use my good brushes on it. That's probably why I didn't upload pics right away. If I had to enter a model, it would be my Troglodon.
Does Golden Daemon still exist? I did well there in the past, but that was when Games Day was still a thing.
Speaking of competitions, when does voting close for the Paint Sumpthing Scaly comp? Did I win?

At least last year there still was a big Golden Daemon special on White Dwarf, so I would think it still exists.

Lol, yea you definitely won, Qupakoco should be sending out prizes soon, so keep an eye on your inbox.

Your entry was superb, so of course you won. Did you ever doubt you would win?

We all won but were still waiting for your walk through.

And if you hate that carny you can send it to me and I will give it a good home.

And I need you to do me a big favour in the near future:cool:

Really? Hmm, still too expensive, and with Games Workshop as it is nowadays I've given up on that dream.

I did actually. I've entered a lot of painting competitions, but never won when it's a public vote. Although the lack of space marines helped. I always lose out to space marines.

Tell you what, I'll do a full walktrough of the next lizardmen model I paint. I have a Saurus character on foot, 2 Ripperdactyls that I plan on painting the same as the one earlier in this thread or a converted Slann ready to go (I have no ideas for colour schemes with that one).

And I need you to do me a big favour in the near future:cool:

It makes me nervous when people say that...

That saurus standard bearer Tzu-Karr is hilarious! Look how happy he is with his feather hat! That is my new favorite thing!

These. Are. All. Freaking. Glorious!
I may have missed it, but what model did you use for the "Horned One" the Chief of the Fire Feather Tribe rides?
Seriously, Beautiful work.

Where did you get the butterfly for the skink priest? I love that model, and everything else is astonishing as well, my eyes say thank you

Yeah, a lot of people have been asking me this. It's actually not a Dark Elf Cold One, it's one GW released for the Storm of Magic expansion, not long after they first started doing Finecast. It doesn't have the saddle and reigns, and was probably cast from one of Jes Goodwin's masters. I don't think they sell it anymore.

I made it by sculpting it onto an expired bank card. When it had cured I peeled it off, cut off a wing then glued the two parts in place on the Skink's hand.

I'll hopefully be doing that full tutorial soon. It's going to be a Ripperdactyl and rider. I'm looking into perhaps making it as a video..

Did you ever do this tutorial? The butterfly is amazing!

I keep saying I'll do the tutorial, but I've been busy with a big commission (that's over now) and Wyrd's Iron Painter competition (won a second place prize for that). I did start on a video, but I wasn't happy with the quality so I'm going try doing it differently.
