Blog The Grove: Personal and Commission Works

Congrats snoop. Apart from your pseudo which is really cool, you do have an impressive eye for colour :p actually, about the 50/50 spli thing, i like both so eh, maybe it's not that bad :) and you do need variety when facing such a huge model. I'd be scared to go for even one, not sure I'd have the patience etc, but you took on that challenge with honours!!
do you have a studio blog btw? dont hesitate to post other stuff even if its not lizardmen.

Hey I don't have a blog yet. I do have my other works posted here, which is like my dakka blog I guess:
http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/668489.page

This shows a lot of my commissioned projects as well. And the dakkadakka gallery shows a lot of my previous work. I have a lot of stuff I still haven't taken pictures yet but it will come sometime.

I am also planning to start an instagram soon as well. I'd like a professional blog but really don't know much about programming and such and would love for someone to do different designs for me (willing to pay). But we will see in the future!

Lol I've got these two coming up my sleeve right next as well.

I'll have a look at your dakkadakka page.. Have you considered WordPress or tumblr while you wait for sth better?
I have no but I will definitely look into it!! Thanks for the suggestions!

I picked these guys up at Adepticon on Saturday. Going to use the guys with the blow darts as Chameleon Skinks. The Saurus Guard in back are missing arms and such, but I have bits to make them complete. As I look at this pic I am counting 11 Saurus Guard.... thats nice that I know how to count and make even numbers.. wow...........

All in all I paid about $25 for these guys, which I think is a pretty darmm good price. They were about $1-$1.50 per fig. NOT counting the Ironguts in the back.

Update on Skink Priest and Eternity Warden. I picked up these blues at Adepticon, they are from Vallejo. I can't remember the colors off the top of my head but man I love them.

AND FOR THE BIG FINISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So excited FW had one of these. I built and green stuffed it last night. I have an interesting color scheme I am going to do with this guy that I haven't seen done yet.

NICE! Post pics of all of them, please!
Can't wait to see how your dread saurian looks when you finish!

Oh I well! Going to try and knock out the Priest and Warden first. I have a commission coming up for a quite a few pieces from infinity so I may not be able to get started on the Dread Saurian super quick, but soon enough!

That's an impressive beast you picked up... can't wait to see that guy painted! Not enough of those guys in our Itza Gallary of Fine Arts.

FW stuff… so lovely. What they do is usually grand and the dread saurian is pretty cool. I still feel like they could make the pose more impressive though, am i the only one? :s

I agree somewhat. I am not sure i like it being on all fours. I guess if it was on 2 legs it would look to much like a T Rex haha

Skink Starpriest done!

Yeah maybe.. But they could also twist the body or sth without changing the all-fours thing.. Let's ask woogity to take it on next hehe
