Awesome! So far I´ve been using mine to do base coats to get used to paint consistency and the trigger. I need to try fancy thing like this :). I think that´s the actual fun stuff to do with an airbrush :D

That chart is brilliant, I have the complete Citadel Air range so I can just add some Vallejo paints to that.

Test Aelf model, only base coated atm the red will go orange and the grey cloth more white, gold less bright and brown lighter.

The idea behind the orange is I love tigers and my griffin will be tigered up, I have 2 atm so got to convert one so it is different, Prince Imriks dragon will be orange also but striped somehow not sure yet.

A very nicely painted model. Your work is consistently amazing! Now that usage of the word "Aelf" on the other hand....

    Adding insult to injury!

Round bases actually look fine, but Aelf sounds simply like a mentally challenged Elf. My wife plays Wood Elves and I always bug her with that term... she hates it, LOL. :D

Nice! Are you going to leave them with that sandy colour on the base?

No, I will probably paint it dark brown then drybrush karak stone that should add a bit of contrast.

Yeah I agree Aelf is a bit lame, I had loads of wood elves back in the eighties Elves were my second favourite army to paint, I can't wait to start my skinks!

Finished the base and to eat my own words "A model is never finished until it's based" and I think you will agree it's true.

Really incredible! You're right about the base, gives so much extra character to it. Brilliant looking model.

    Wow!

You're absolutely right about basing, it brought everything about the mini to a whole new level! What kind of "foliage" are you using? It's beautiful.

You did a superb job both with the airbrush and the regular brush. The gradients on both the shield and helmet are quite natural and pleasing to the eye, not to mention the highlights on the scalemail. Great job!
