It's got to be Ahsoka, Wesley Crusher's Star Wars girlfriend/counterpart, for me. Insufferable.

Don't you mean Droids? Druids were Celtic priests.

Come on people - leave Jar Jar alone. So many people blame him for giving Palpatine the Clone army but he had no choice really, because otherwise the Separatists would have steamrollered over the Jedi and the Republic.

Surely it's better to blame the person who got Palpatine to become Chancellor in the first place - Padme!

Sure I meant droids! Sorry if I caused confusion... me as a Teutonic am totally fine with Celtic priests and healers... ;)
    Gonna edit it...

Cheers mate - it really is nice to meet another Pagan! I'm a Celtic Pagan myself, that's partly why I arose the question - the other reasons are that I'm really fascinated by the Celts themselves as an ancient history enthusiast and also I'm a spelling policeman - if somebody spells something wrong it'll be most likely that it's me who corrects them because wrong grammar and spelling just irritates me :D

Do you worship specific Saxon/Norse gods then? If so it would be fascinating to hear from you about them!

Well it's more like an internal spirit for me... not walking around singing songs of Wodan and Donar or something... or bringing sacrifices... but I get my spiritual foods much better outside in the woods than in church on Sundays (if I join my wife once in a while...) I always feel this kind of power drain there in church, but in the wilderness I can reload my energies...

I agree. Quite often when I'm in a Christian church I feel as though a malevolent being is looking down at me all the time and I can only relax in such places when it is peaceful. I also pray to one of my main six Gods each evening except Sunday (I don't want to trouble them all the time :p) to show them that I am faithful to the old ways, but I don't go the whole hog. Certainly I believe sacrifices are no longer needed to gain the Gods' favour.

Exactly - Just as Christians don't burn people at the stake anymore, we Pagans don't sacrifice people or animals anymore. We've advanced with the times like everyone else

Jar Jar Binks seems to be the favorite to hate, but for me if the story of the downfall of Anakin Skywalker had been done better, the rest of episodes 1-3 could have been so much better.

yea, it seems like they tried to cram most of his downfall into like 15 minutes of episode 3....

I was wandering if there is something similar to zoroastrianism, where animal sacrifice has been substituted by burning of sandalwood.

Maybe, but I'm not a part of that.

Modern Paganism has done away with sacrifices as a whole, mate. We've advanced with the times.

I thought it was quite well done myself - having the Sith Lord they are looking for be right under their noses and then having him gain Anakin's trust more and more until Anakin trusts him even when he's turned evil was pretty good I thought. Better than the weak plot of Episode 7...

Well, in catholic churches people light candels to images of saints. Certain symbolic rites are part of a tradition.

    However, enough with OT.
It seems that JJ Binks sits solidly on top, and only Anakin was able to collect a bunch of votes.
Going back to the original trilogy we have just a couple of votes for gummy bears...

Everyone can hate Jar Jar, it is easy. For me he isn't the top spot because he is just a goofy comic-relief side character that you can just ignore. He's not even in that many scenes. Anakin is a main person that you cannot ignore, and written so badly it hurts.
