Blog Ritual's Army - Lizard on Lizard Action (For the Waaaaagh!)

I'll post some pics up over the weekend, might assemble it and see where I'm at but going to have to pin and GS a lot of it so it's not going to be a quick job and I got a whole bunch of Nurgle to be cracking on with....

It definitely looks sick!
So yeah so think you can go with that.

Round one of liquid green stuff into the seams... Will need another pass tonight. I also dabbed some around onto the smooth areas of plastic because I think they look weird.

All that Nurgle stuff… this is exciting and very motivating. That big boy is going to kick ass. Go on, brother!!

Slight detour, but I started building the Incarnate Elemental of Fire... God damn I forgot what a ballache these older FW models are! I'm going to need some green stuff work to fill in gaps and make it all look nice.

One of the bits its slightly bent too - hooray for resin! Wondering the best way of straightening it back up.

Most people seem to say that warm water (like from a hot tap, not from a boiler) and bending it a little while warm works best.

Hmm, I may have to try that then. It's only very slight.... But if I don't fix it, I am sure it will drive me mad forever.

It should work just keep it straight as it cools ;)

I'll keep you posted. Tonight, however, I think I need to crack on with painting some plaguebearers. I also need to come up with a 500 point list for Friday!

There is a lot of heresy on this thread, and it looks great so far. Were there really that many seams on the glottkin model? That seems a bit excessive, but I guess with that many parts it makes sense.

...when I first saw this model:

...the pose reminded me of this:

The main seams were down both legs, and the tentacle. There were also some down the sides... And the neck. And some of the horns... You could easily get away with ignoring a lot of them, but I want this to come out pretty well, so doing my best to cover them all completely. I've also blended them out a lot to give some texture to some of the smooth plastic, just to nurgle it up some more.

I ordered the Battletome and Codex for my Nurgley guys today.... Slimux accidentally fell into my cart as well. There was nothing I could do.

I hereby promise I am going to finish my other Start Collecting box before even opening the box.

I already have the DG codex waiting for my Maggotkin and I too am painting everything I have before purchasing anything but my birthday is in Feb so I'm not stopping others buying me models :D
