Blog Chicken Lips Warhammer Armies

Is it true what they say ...?

I like the weathered armour.

Elefantenbüchse! Well... actually not really cause an Elefantenbüchse is a rifle with a huge caliber... but it sounds nicely German...;)

I guess the elephant isn't the problem... Try it like buixae... that could be kind of close...

Lol, I don't even know how to pronounce that! :p
You can break it into parts, saying
Ele-fun-ten-bück-say

- Ele being the beginning of Elephant
- bück is the hard part. It is like saying "buck" but the ü is a sound you can make this way: say "ee" like in see but round your lips like for an "o".
- don't drag the y of the "say" part too long.

That's it! :)

I took some (really crappy) pics late last night of my progress on these Ogres. My Ogre Hunter #1 is done as are is two Sabretusks. My Hunter #2 is still a WIP, but I don't have much more to finish him up. Easily achieved by the end of the month. His Sabretusks are done as well. I am 99% complete on my Gorger as well as these 3 Maneaters. (You can also see several finished models as well as other small projects I'm working on in the background...)

Thanks, NB! I have a new game mat coming in with a "snow theme". Once I get that, I'll try to set them all up on it for an army shot!

Which mat have you gone for?

I'm after another one and can't decide what to go for.

I ordered these two. I wanted a lot of variation between them, so I went with snow and grasslands themes to go with my barren land one. The only other one I think I may want someday would be a graveyard themed mat.

I also have this one already:

These mats are great. They are basically giant mousepads. Movement trays, models, etc. just glide over them and the mat doesn't buckle or ripple under their weight (something that has bitten me before-). They are also really nice to roll dice on. It dilutes the noise of dice bouncing.
