Honestly such a waste and dissapointment, I don't think I had even painted my box of endless spells before our main advantage was completly removed.
I stopped building them as I read that literally in the middle of it, and then went to only make the ones that we actually use regularly (geminids, BWV, etc)
If not being able to cast an endless spell through a vassal is something that stopped you from enjoying endless spells i dont know what to tell you. Seems pretty ridiculous to me. It's not exactly a new rule. Being able to cast them through a vassal wouldn't change that.
i disagree. while changes have occurred since the initial release that would cause me to agree with you, at the time of release I would absolutely have used more, different spells.
We've literally never been able to cast endless spells through a vassal. It was an faq when malign sorcery originally came out. I don't know why our new book would have changed that rule... I also don't think the vassal rule makes or breaks the endless spells.
I don't think it makes or breaks them either, at this time. its not just the book. its other books and a different meta. I understand we NEVER could officially, but my play group was playtesting it when they announced it and they had the leaks for some of the spells, (Jaws if I recall correctly, but its been years at this point lol) I simply admitted to what I did. I was going to make sacrificial vassals and launch al the spells I could just cuz, when they started nerfing it before release because of Morathi, I slowed my role, and focused my work on the things I was actually going to use in more competitive games vs my kitchen table lol
My apologies then. The thread of comments made it seem like you were reading the warhammer community article that erroneously said we could do it before being edited out. That was a teaser for our new book. My main response was still directed towards that. Seraphon could never cast endless spells through vassals, so the complaint of "I don't think I had even painted my box of endless spells before our main advantage was completely removed" is not entirely accurate considering they didn't "faq it out" after our book came out, but well before that.
