yeah I can't quite get the lighting right. It either tends to be far too dark or they start reflecting the light and every imperfection is magnified cuz there's too much light. Quite annoying.

finally painted something again, a chaos sorceror. Don't mind the shitty picture quality, winter means there's basicly no light in my appartement, let's just blame chaos for it.

I like him (despite the heresy!!!), but his base makes it look like he is wearing one big fuzzy boot :D

Is he Alpha Legion based on the snakes on his backpack, or Thousand Sons?
 
I'l try some other pictures tomorow if we have some better light. I did take some others but they were even worse in this light.

The snake-backpack is just what he comes with, I think he's supposed to just be a generic sorceror.

I haven't really decided on any particular chapter yet for the few chaos marines I have, but they do favour blue so far, and one of em carries an icon of tzeentch so thousand sons would be a strong contender :p.

That being said, I'd throw either a flesh wash or a sepia on the gold on the transauranic arquebus.
