AoS NEW *rumor*

I supposed he actually is our Teclis once you throw in his buddies.

4/4 at +4(!!) Does make him technically a better caster than Teclis on average. Certainly he is on par. Unbinds much better than Teclis overall.


And his bodyguard give him a lot of wiggle room for durability. With 5 Guard would have to take 20 wounds in one phase to reach the point where he would probably die, and he may still not.

And he still has his Impeccable Foresight on top of all that.

The more I look at it...the more I think it's actually pretty damn good.

4/4 doesn't do much when his range on 3 of his spells are only 16 inches assuming Astro, meaning of you want to actually utilise the 4 casts, you've gotta put him in danger. I'm very much on the fence ave the likely ~200aud price tag doesn't help

There's no world where 4/4 at +4 doesn't do much lol

Besides, there are *always* going to be Arcane vassals ahead of Kroak. We can't get by without our skinks anyway.



And again, this may yet be fake. It seems odd they gave Kroak a skink bodyguard on the model with a big spear, gave Kroak himself a couple of weird scepters/clubs, and neither made the Warscroll.

To be honest I suspect it is fake. This warscroll is just a mix of his original AoS and current warscroll with absolutly no new rules and nothing that ties back to the new model ...

Dead for innumerable ages is literally just the the same as the old version of this rule, just with higher numbers.
Azerite force barrier still doesn't do much against single target entities, which is bad enough in his current iteration but even more stupid on a god-like model. Especially if he has no other attacks.
There are no new rules that refer back to the new things on the model.

E.g. :Nothing is done with the new living attendant on his new model. Nothing is done with his two new sceptres on his new model. Nothing is done with the giant chunks of stonework floating around him.

Regardless of it being a good warscroll or not, it'd be an absolutly pathetic update as it brings nothing new.
 
Maybe we'll get lucky and GW will release the warscroll this weekend.

It could be fake, the thing that makes me believe its real is it looks like its the scroll printed in the build instructions and, although its all rumor, apparently alarielle warscroll is seeing almost no changes as well and the rumored price is 430 points, so with such a small increase, it feels like just a price buff warscroll and not redoing him to the centrepiece he should be.

I'll hold out until the official release, but I'm not hopeful.
 
It just occurred to me as written he has 18 wounds but it is impossible for him to take 17 wounds in a phase and not die.

Allarielle isn't getting a shiny new model though. And it's not like Kroak's new model is a simple update from resin to plastic. Pairing such a fancy model update with such a meaningless warscroll update would be a ridiculous waste.

Just take a look at Be'lakor, who's had a similar update as Kroak is getting. He got better stats, multiple weapons, an updated dark master rule & various bonusses in his own personal allegiance (these really should've been on his warscroll but a personal allegiance is fancy as well I guess...). That's a hell of a lot more than what this Kroak scroll is showing.
 
Chip damage is pretty much meningless against him, except if you have the worst luck possible. Also you all forget that he gets the 6+ FNP from the Astrolith, he just never had a use for it himself. His CA also got a small buff, and against a shooting army i wouldn't be suprised to see it being used any turn.
 
make troglodon and arcane vassal great again xDDD.. but i don't like trogodon uhmm
