Hello boys and girls and welcome to Let's Get Motivated - February 2022

This thread is too get us motivated each month into finishing projects that we have on the go, the rules are fairly simple.

At the start of the month post what you intend to try and finish this month, it can be models/terrain/conversions of any game type. No pressure if you don't finish anything this is for motivation nothing else.

Around the middle of the month post your progress, no images please, if you have want to share your progress with images, upload them into your blog and supply a link.

Around the end of the month post your progress, again no images, if you have finished a piece upload the images into your blog and supply a link.

The reason I don't want images in this thread is too get everyone that takes part views in their personal blog where the community can critique, etc.

You don't have a paint blog? well get one started in this forum section.

If you need advice etc. post here and the community will try and answer.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone share their progress

And it’s Ratty Roulette once again! Where Y'ttar has a partially rotating table of unpainted and often ancient models where one is randomly and perma added to the vows. This month it's:

1 – Classic Grey Seer
2 – Samwise Gamgee
3 – A Random Underworlds Warband
4 – Legolas
5 - A Sister of Battle (painted as a random Order)
6 - Flói Stonehand

Please not 3...please not 3...pl...it's 3... Fffffffffffffffff....

My goals for this month:

- Paint/convert up a Ranger of Gondor (out of a normal warrior with bow)
- Finish up the Easterling Banner Bearer
- Finish up the Minas Tirith Banner Bearer
- Build and paint a banner objective marker
And
- Read and vote on the short story contest (perhaps writing reviews)

- Additionally have another game night with my brother

I didn’t paint for a month after Christmas due to my personal situation, but I’m determined to get back on the hobby wagon this month.

My only goal this month is to paint Lord Kroak. Frankly, it’s an intimidating model to paint and it’s been staring me in the face for too long.
 
The first progress is made:

- Paint/convert up a Ranger of Gondor (out of a normal warrior with bow)
- Finish up the Easterling Banner Bearer
- Finish up the Minas Tirith Banner Bearer
- Build and paint a banner objective marker
And
- Read and vote on the short story contest (perhaps writing reviews)

Thank you Imrahil. It has been some time since I've painted a character model and quite an interesting experience. I'm trying to do the model justice and fighting that urge to take shortcuts. Spent 2 hours painting & correcting the gold/black swirl on her chest armour. Made me want resort to violence :mad:.

So, I'm adjusting my goals:
  1. Finish gluing my K'Daai Fireborn DONE!!!
  2. Try to paint 6 of the Fireborn!!!
So I found a video for the fire painting and I'm gonna try it out. Next stop: basecoating!

Well, I didn't finish Lord Kroak, but I made good progress nonetheless. Just have the banner on top, the skink helper, and Kroak himself to paint. I'll be able to finish the whole thing in March.
