I started with Lizardfolks couple of days ago and made little progress so far. I will be painting slowly (hence name of blog), since I usually have about 30 minutes per day after toddler is finally asleep, so do not expect some rocket start from me

I would suggest another solvent. For example, a degreaser like "LA's totally awesome". (Wierd name, but it works and it's available - at least locally to Florida - at the dollar store.)

 

I know about half a dozen different brands that can be used. None of those being able to purchase locally. I found one paint stripper that was guaranteed to work, but unfortunately it dissolved not only paint, but mini as well so for now, I still have about liter of isopropyl and it works reasonably fine.

Also, yesterday I managed to strip them, so here is result. I will use debonder on blobs of superglue gel on shields and it should be fine.

 

It was lazy day at work today, so I wondered if might be able to make Realmshaper Engine by myself from XPS, as I have proxxon and angle cutter. I found out dimensions of kit, laid some calculations, did quick&dirty model and by the time I was done, there was still time, so I added some details... and more details, and more. I divided it to parts and hollowed it and ended up with solid 80% done 3D model for print It is missing just glyphs, top pillars and that you know... magical top.

 

Great work with this one. The details look amazing.
Interested to see how it will turn out in the end.

Some small progress on carnosaur. Claws and teeth are painted, I was dentist today, I shall be Ophthalmologist tommorow.

I also managed to strip paint from all those second-hand warriors and Sunblood. Unfortunatelly, Sunblood was finecast and after bath in isopropyl it gummified and I basically ruined the mini...

This week is weak in progress as I had eye procedure and my eyelid is massively swollen, so it would not be the best idea to aim brush on any details.
At least I managed to spray primer on carnosaur rider chair and unit of raptors (without riders). I also put some terrain on that DIY base for Ankylosaur and I plan to add some ropes on that dino himself today.

 

Ok, there was issue with company laptop docking station (and since our IT takes 2 hours to arrive from office next door) and I had some time to sit in cubicle and look busy. So this and my lunch break resulted in basic platform for Ark of Sotek and some additional wiring around leg and tail.

 

That is some great creating there. Custom Ark of Sotek is a very good idea.

That's a clean paint job! Is that contrast? If so, that a VERY clean paint job! Well done.

 

Thanks, that is AP speedpaint. Red is pure from bottle, blue is 1:1 with medium. Bronze is pure orange on top of platemail silver and gold is yellow on same silver.

 

Another tiny step towards bastilodon. Tail and couple greeblies on belly.
