The never-ending battle against woke Hollywood and SJW infused entertainment media [trigger warning]

Every see media that takes a dig at a politician that is long out of office. It usually is not very entertaining. There is nothing timeless about contemporary political commentary.

I agree with Yellowflash who agrees with what Nerdrotic said. When the entertainment industry decides to turn away from woke politics in the name of making a profit, Disney will be the last company to change.

Overlord DVD reviewed a couple leaks regarding this.

Rumor, but most of Overlord DVDs rumors turn out to be true.

Kathleen Kennedy ordered the vespas behind John Favreau's back. Favreau didn't know about them until the first one arrived on set. Favreau said, "This is dumb, I don't want the Vespas." The Disney execs said "They already paid for, you will use them." Favreau said, "Fine, I'm not wasting any more time on the Book of Boba Fett, you guys can run that show how you see fit. I'm putting all my effort into Ashoka."

The two episodes of Book of Boba Fett that were essentially Mandalorian episodes? Apparently two episodes of the Book of Boba Fett were sooo bad that even Disney wouldn't show them. They begged Favreau to cover them and that's what he used. I believe the Mandalorian footage was going to be used on the next season of the Mandalorian originally but Favreau hastily cobbled it together into the passable episodes of the Book of Boba Fett.

I would like to see John Favreau walk away from Disney and join the DC team. I believe they invited him. I like John Favreau, but I don't think he can save Disney Star Wars even if Ashoka is great. Half of the Ashoka fans are probably ready to pirate it.

The Andor thing suggests to me that this is not John Favreau versus Kathleen Kennedy, so much as John Favreau versus all of Disney.

Now my Youtube feed is nothing but analysis of the Batgirl movie being cancelled. Took four videos on the subect to make me tired of it but I got I like 20 videos.,

It's not just wokeness anymore. Disney is burning the candle at both ends. The CGI is suffering because they are overworking their staff. A lot of their lower and middle tier staff are seeking employment elsewhere. Those they have left are cutting corners and burning out.

Let's pretend for a second that Disney Marvel wasn't woke and let's pretend that their kowtowing to the CCP was not an issue for me.

I still wouldn't want to watch most of their stuff. I like Marvel's characters but there are 168 hours in a week and much of those hours I am sleeping, eating, doing self and home maintenance, and working. There is already more entertainment media that if no new media was made, I could spend all my leisure time watching stuff and not finish before I died.

Even if everything Marvel studios made was good, I would not want more than two movies a year, two series, and that's pushing it. Anything more than that even something I like starts to get stale.

I remember when a new installment in one of my favorite franchises was an event.

Not me. IF the MCU abandoned the wokeness and was good again, like it was in the past, I'd go watch their movies in the theaters with @Mrs. NIGHTBRINGER . Those were our go-to movies. It was fun to look forward to 2-3 MCU movies in a year.

I am not a hard core GoT fan, I am a casual fan, but I'm still offended that George R. Martin isn't finishing his book series and he is not admitting he is not working on it and he refuses to let another writer finish the series for him (I believe it's in his will).

And I'm upset at HBO for botching the last two seasons of the television series.

I wasn't planning to watch the prequel series but I wasn't exactly boycotting it, now I kind of feel like boycotting or maybe hate watching it or watching it out of morbid curiosity (and because I often subscribe to HBO anyway).

Unrelated video.

I like vampire shows. I might have watched it if this was a vampire show that happened to have lesbians in it. No, it apparently was a lesbian romance story that happened to have vampires in it.

I liked Brooklyn 99. It had a lot of LGB characters but the show wasn't about THE MESSAGE. It was about the situational comedy and once in a while tangentially hit on woke politics. But that's fine, it was an entertaining show until the last season which was all about woke politics and once in a while tangentially hit on situational comedy.

It boggles my mind how something that expensive could look so cheap.

I mean at least when Kevin Smith vandalized Masters of the Universe it had good visuals.

That said I don't mind cheap visuals when they are paired with good writing and direction.
