I can now proudly say that I have completely read The Silmarillion from cover to cover :D :)
It is an absolutely amazing book. Took me 8 months though

8 months isn't that long. It has taken me 32 years and counting so far. :D

Well done indeed, I haven't even got halfway through listening to it being read on audiotape (having started doing so a couple of years ago) because it's very bulky and often difficult to digest. I'd better carry on where I left off next time I paint my minis.

I'm not a fan generally of audiobooks, but listening while painting sounds like something I should try out.

Don't mean to brag but..... Due to a class I read the Silmarillion, Hobbit, Lotr, and a few of Tolkien's short stories within a semester. And we started with the Silmarillion lol.

Hmm, my favourite book of all time... that easy!

Terry Pratchett's Only You Can Save Mankind. Quite possibly the only book I can pick up and read again no matter how short a span of time it has been since I last read it... and now that I mentioned it, I feel an obligation to read it again right this moment.

Closely followed by: Discworld. Just... any and all Discworld novels.

*Notices the latest posts on this threat* Ah... I can honestly say I've not even tried to read the Silmarilion. I like reading... and that one just intimidated me away from it.

    Hmm...

Lately, I have been reading old travelogues. Like... from the 1960's old, alongside a variety of histories of various electric railroads from across the United States of America and Europe. Not everyone's cup of tea, but if anyone is interested let me know and I'll suggest a few titles.
