Indeed predictable, considering that it was the original Captain Marvel that started the MCU's decline in quality.

As usual, Clownfish TV made some interesting points but took a very long time to say them.

Rather than post their video, I will highlight their main point, that of the underwhelmingly small number of people who saw the Marvels on opening weekend, 61% of them were male.

In other words, it's not men's fault the movie flopped. They failed to make women want to watch it.

Is this not the way of all self-important, self-proclaimed experts, who think they have something to say on YouTube ?

I find myself wanting to shout, “GET ON WITH IT!” at nearly every video. (Complete with Python video clip…)

Does Cliwnfish use deep, booming, portentous, ominous, YouTube voice ? Everytime I trip over a video on there that uses deep, booming, portentous, ominous, YouTube voice, I automatically assume it is just another Clown that decided to be wrong on the internet today.

No, Clownfish TV is a husband and wife duo that talks normally. They have some background in the comic industry and are pretty grounded and personable. They aren't my first go-to for pop culture news, but I like having them on as background noise while I'm doing other things.

I'm smiling as I watch this video. This is even better than I could have hoped for. (who says that haters can't have fun?)

All things considered, Iman Vellani, the actress who played Miss. Marvel seems pretty based. Especially considering who she is surrounded with. She's like a flower that grew out of a pot of dirt. Almost like an anti-Brie/anti-Zegler.

She's basically like, "I did my job and if the movie has bad box office, it's Bob Iger's problem, not mine."

I would like to see her act in something that is not badly written.

That's true only to a certain point. Some careers can be damaged by a movie's huge flop.

Am I the only one deriving such intense feelings of joy from the absolute failure of The Marvels?

I've reached a sort of "indifference" state of mind.
I'm really glad it fails for a number of related reasons and (hopefully) consequences for the world of cinema, but at this point the fate of MCU is no more a thing i care for.

    Probably.

I guess I can add that I care enough to keep an ear to the ground as to what is going on with pop culture, and I like to be right in my predictions. But I do not feel a need to celebrate being right, particularly when the thing I'm right about is only slightly less predictable than the sun rising in the East and setting in the West.
