My shas'la are most disappointed. Do the Slaan not serve the Greater Good? The Ethereals will have something to say of this, mark my words.
Man, this is always a fun time. I hope I'm part of Iyanden. They're my favorite Craftworld. Constructs are just rad.
I don't really know 40k so had to look up the Alaitoc Craftworld and they are apparently about stealth and misdirection which feels the exact opposite of my often just resorting to brute force approach.
And in my official lore, the Necrons remain enslaved to their C'Tan masters. Forever bound to a deal which they never should have made. At this point I don't have a stake in it anyways. I'm fully out of 40k. I sold my Necron army a while back, only keeping my two C'Tan models. It was required in order to abide by my self-imposed four army limit. The Necrons had to go in order to make way for the Chaos Dwarfs! I barely ever access the site via mobile and even when I do, I'm rarely ever logged in. When accessing LO on a computer, you can see your stats just about everywhere you look. On the main page, your account page and next to every single post you make. For instance, this is how your post appears:
Watch out for the Dark Eldar. They do care about your feelings. They care about your feelings very much.
All this exterminatus level heresy aside (the Inquisition have been informed.) It's a funny coincidence with this April Fools as I've just started reading Path of the Seer after finishing Path of the Warrior. I've never been a fan of elves (space or otherwise) but they make for some curious reading (if not at times exasperating. The whole vague scrying and theatrics with it can grate.)
The Dark Eldar females have substantial ones too, to be fair. And there are three times as many of them! But personally I prefer virtuous boobs to depraved ones: Bretonnian Damsels remain my favourite female Warhammer models... OK, we'd better stop now before this discussion goes beyond PG
I forgot this was coming. And this is NEW banner art. Well done @The Red Devil , now we have four April Fools banners. We appreciate your dedication to keeping L-O so awesome. I've been a huge Warhammer Fantasy fan for a long but I'm only a casual fan of 40K, so take my thoughts with a grain of salt. I really really like the grand backstory to the Eldar. How they used to be the dominant power in galaxy but their technology progressed to the point where they didn't have to struggle anymore, and had nothing to do to pass the time, so they turned to greater and greater acts of debauchery just so they could feel something. Then their collective debauchery birth Slaanesh and Slaanesh ended up killing and eating the souls of roughly 99% of the Eldar. The Eldar that survived were among the most and the least depraved. The ones that saw the depravity engulfing Eldar society as undesirable, said "I'm getting away from you sickos" and they created Craftworlds and flew to the edges of the galaxy. They were far away enough from Ground Zero of Slaanesh that Slaanesh couldn't reach them. These are the Craft World Elder. Some of the Eldar saw the growing decadence of their society and said "Oh yeah, I can top that! Hold my blood wine!" The ones that were really in the geographic and cultural center of the Eldar's debauchery that they were so close to Slaanesh that Slaanesh only got a tiny hold of their souls and didn't eat their souls. But in order to keep Slaanesh from eating their souls, they have to inflict pain on others. These are the Dark Eldar. In my opinion, the Eldar might have the coolest backstory in all of 40K and that is saying something because both the Imperium and the Necrons have badass lore. The problem, in my opinion, is that lore wise, after their epic beginning, both the Craftworld Eldar and the Dark Eldar are basically footnotes or speed bumps in the galactic struggles of the other factions. I may or may not a collect a 40K army at some point in the future. I seriously considered the Craftworld Eldar as the army to collect. I like their general aesthetics, I like their large amount of pyskers, and I like their epic backstory. But they didn't stick the landing. Besides their epic backstory, their lore just do it for me. Though if they allied with the Slann, that would change things...
Don't ask, the April Fools' celebrations became a little debauched last year (I blame the forum's Chief Ambassador to Slaanesh @NIGHTBRINGER ) Nah, I'd still rather gaze upon Bretonnian Damsels. And with TOW here there are a pair of new ones for me to admire! Someone has to reassert the ideal beauty of female purity amid all the Slaanesh and Dark Eldar heresy I'm pretty sure this was the banner art we had last year as well. Not least because, like last year, I'm Saim-Hann again
