What are you doing today hobbywise?

Someone else would be running their Craftworld Eldar against Tyranids or something, and suddenly an artillery barrage from three tables away would drop onto their table with the cheer, "pie plates for everyone!!!" (since the old artillery template was about the size of a pie plate/tea saucer)
Fun times :)

For those who don't like the new chaos AOS vibe I get it. That being said I like these for my mortals and I'm slowly repainting mine to be more in line with this paintjob.

I have no issue wiht the current AoS Chaos vibe... so long as it isn't representing Chaos as a whole. Chaos should never vibe in a uniform manner across its entirety.

I actually liked the Warcry Chaos Legionaries because they were representing a different yet still armoured look. Was very cool. Never got it though... now I'm curious if they'll still available...

Now I have to look at those. I usually don't care for the AOS stuff, and more recent GW models in general, as they are over stuffed with detail. The lack of negative space drives me batty and I'm already nuts. The heads for the chaos marauders equivalents are far and above the old ones I have and it's not even close.

Legionnaires - love auto-correct over-compensating for a single "n" instead of two by changing it to "Legionaries". That never gets old. ¬_¬

it's interesting that they wear brigandine instead of a full platemail. I always approve of more variety in armour types in fantasy than just the usual chainmail or plate.

I also wonder how easy it would be to use different heads. The helmets with big horns are the weak point for me. The un-horned helmets are fine though.

Also only just noticed that one of those dudes has cloven feet. Huh...

Just got my treekin proxies, should have gone with the slightly larger 32mm models but these are really cool looking
