yesterday i finished my engine of the gods.



and the jungle swarms i finished last weekend.



should make more than enough points for the april submission.

EotG + Priest = 290+65=355
Swarms = 10x45 = 450

Could be just the photo, but the skinks look a touch lacking in detail. On the other hand, the steg looks fantastic! I'd love to see a few more photos if you have any.

i'll make some close ups tonight when i'm home.

my skinks are done fairly simple, macharius orange with a fiery orange highlight, scales in scorched brown with a calthan brown highlight. gold i do in tin bitz and then burnished gold. talons in bleached bone with devlon mud wash and a thin layer of bone to top it off.

this is my playing army, so i don't go to too much detail and layers.

love the splatter effect and the dripping blood.

The splatter was done with first with mixing sand with scab red, then kinda paining it where I wanted, then I highlighted it with blood red, the streams of blood where done by taking a hair and dipping it with blood red using tweezers then carefully sticking it where I wanted. When it dried I built up the blood red layers over the hair until it looked good.

Ya I labeled them as Mature on the site I post them on, maybe I should have done that here. I got the idea after watching dawn of the dead, so...I guess it explains the gore...somewhat LOL

That's one thing I like about the OK army. If you use over the top goryness, it still looks really good, because the Ogres are just like that. Other armies look extremely tacky if you put that much gore.

I would love to do this, and already have my April's submission done! a Slann, and an Ancient Stegadon with Skink Chief with Warspear. Will post pictures tonight. I should have a unit of Saurus Spearmen done this week as well, which should put me well over the 300 point limit for this month.
