Blog Beardy Gekko's random assortment of things

Looking good but just one thing I would change the top plate on his head do it orange maybe, near enough to red to break the colour up but far enough away to add contrast?

Or if your up for it Orange blended into red

Bit slow going with progress at the moment, I have been looking at colour schemes for the Cold Ones though as a bit of a change from just painting Saurus. As usual I'm looking at Monster hunter for inspiration and I like the look of these three different monsters:

My favourite is probably the last one, I like the subtle pink/purple and flesh tones.

Also it looks easier to achieve! As always thoughts appreciated and i'll try and get some WIPs up of one or more this week.

The last one looks cool, but I think the first looks cooler! ;)
Might be because I have green saurus and a purple / pink stegadon... So blue is something new to me... ;)
In fact I think all three would be great colours for cold ones!

I'd use the last colour scheme for salamanders they're practically the Jurrasic park ones anyway :D

It kind of depends on the saurus riders schemes as well, green Saurus would go well with the top and bottom ones I feel.

I also won my ebay auction for the metal skink chieftain model :) I really like the model so now i'll need some skinks to go with him! Maybe that can wait until pay day...

I may have ordered a box of skinks... and some paint. I have a problem! :nailbiting:

These look awesome! Can't wait to see the cold one finished! The saurus are looking good, I really like the colour scheme you have here!

Yep I agree with @Bowser . If you have not decided yet on the colour scheme I´d go for the pale belly one with the jade weapons of the other. There are enough blue lizards around!

Yeah I really do like my 'tetsu' scheme so it will probably be that one I go with. After starting the cold one I'm struggling to see how I'll fit the colour scheme I had in mind on to it. The model isn't the best, has odd areas of blankness I've found, I might just go with a dark red and pink scales...?

I like the orange/blue scale combo. Also I really like how you painted the jade spear. That is something I want to try and do someday...

Thanks! Just various greens and a wash or two. I forget the exact combination haha.
