Blog Chicken Lips Warhammer Armies

Speaking of which, I also started on this Screaming Bell over the weekend. I wanted to take an updated army pic and once I got them all out, I really felt the need to get some color on some of them. My main focus was on the Bell, but I also worked a little on some other character models for them as well. Not too far from being done with the Bell though. I made a lot of progress over this past weekend! I needed to because this upcoming Saturday will be my quads birthday party, so I'll be covered up in relatives and activities! Not much room for hobby painting. :(

That is quite an impressive [and heretical] horde, good luck painting them all! :artist:

Yep. L-M nailed it! It's a Chameleon Paint. Celestial Azure, I think? I did apply a medium glaze over it though.

Thanks for the warm replies, guys! Your kind comments really help keep me motivated!

Good job!
The drybrush (I think) makes them a tiny bit grainy on the skin but they look pretty cool.

But what happened to the guy in the last closeup shot? He has some serious warts on his foot! (Ok I guess those are sand grains from the base? You should probably touch them with a bit of brown color then, so it will look as if he just has some dirt on his feet)

Lol, yeah, these were models that the guy I'm painting them for sent me. He had already put the grit on the base and primed them black. Not too worried about it if he wasn't. And you have to remember, these are blown WAAAY up so things like the drybrush strokes don't show up other than at this scale. Thanks for your comments though!

They look good and I think your doing a pretty good job for the time taken.

Woo-hoo! My Ogre BSB made the front gallery of the Dakka Dakka website! I feel like I've finally arrived! Any votes would be much appreciated!
