I'm a bit sceptical about the huge pillar on the base... would ave used one about half as tall... personally...
But the model itself looks great! Might also be a cool way to make some chameleon proxies/conversions... or even an oxyotl...
Might be the second one stealing this idea!

I was having that same conversation with a friend of mine last night. I think its too tall as well, chalk it up to being my first time making anything of that sort , but i'm not sure how I could trim it down without making it look too square. Maybe if i cut out the middle rather than cutting off the top but then I run in to the problem of separating the base of the pillar from the pillar itself, I could always make a new one as well I suppose.

You could halve it, and have two broken pillar bases.

I got home today and decided that the base was too tall. So I chopped it down an inch or two. I have to say i'm super pleased with how round two turned out.

Love the realistic colors on the stone,
an lot of people get this wrong and
just paint all the rocks flat grey.

I thought about doing something other than the pink, but I like to try and keep all my army of similar color scheme and my skinks are all pink at this point. Luckily pink and green work pretty well together so it still works, I did try to get him a bit darker than my Starpriest for example so that he at least looks a bit more at home in the shadows.

Giant slaying Scar Vet on Carnosaur! Been lazily working on this guy for a while now, got the base this week to finish him off. I magnetized the Scar Vet's weapon hand so I can swap all the weapons out freely between him and my Old Blood on foot.
