Blog Enthusiastic Hobbyists Blog (idea for my tempel gaurds WIP)

The base on the bastiladon is amazing! Temple looks incredible! Well worth the effort!

Thanks for the kind words, I was not sure if I should fully paint the ruins but I thought old ruins almost never have any color left on then when nature takes it back.

And here is some stuff I have been working on.

My dread sauiran proxy with a normal troop for size and my wip slann

And my Khorgorath, I hate the head it has so I made it more to my liking ^_;20160203_222622.jpg

@Bracnos your Solardon is amazing :)
The large base looks great! It's good for fitting the batteries in, and not to mention any battery changes (I have to crack open the shell every time I need to get to them).

I gotta say, your fibre optics work turned out better than mine. Mine are covered in paint and the light only just shines through.

If you're still painting the skinks, how about a mid or dark colour to contrast any light from the crystals shining onto them. Maybe a red or a dark blue?

I'd like to see some more pics when painted :D

Awesome work, Chotec approves

So i finally found the time to complete the first unit of my Primal Temple Guards

hmmm... is that from Hero Forge ?

I thought so, I was just on there today.
let me know how well it takes paint.

Nice mini... And nice fry! Looks great so far! But maybe you could give it a wash with ketchup and then drybrush with mayonnaise... I think that would make it taste better... ;)
Did you use a fork on this one?!

How's the Hero Forge mini in terms of quality? I can't really tell from that picture but I've heard the material doesn't hold detail paticularly well and is rather fragile. What are your thoughts?

depends, you can order it in 4 different materials.
1) a cheep detailed, but fragile plastic material
2) a durable but less detailed plastic material
3) a expensive very durable but less detailed steel material
4) a very Expensive Detailed and Durable Bronze material

When I was deeply involved in a DnD campaign I was really close in ordering 'my character' from Hero Forge, always seems a bit low quality next to even GW models :/

sorry for the late replay but this made my day :D i don't have a completed pic of the fry but here are my models;)

First the commissioned one i made a small change to the model and the client was really happy with it:pompus:

i have to say the quality of this model is crap and for the price i rally cant recommend this product and no mater what i did the paint kept wiping off...:banghead: but its done and the client loved it. He said he would ask me again hen he gets some other models :cigar:

and here is my slann i might add a some temple guards to it but i don't know

Oh and I just remembered i bought this when I was working on Gundams but I realized ....how dose one airbrush. :banghead:20160228_214743.jpg

The shield and sword you gave the commission look far better! Great work on that. I had a really hard time painting reaper bones. Not sure if the hero forge line is similar but if so you did an amazing job!
I really like the paint job on the palanquin and the slann looks incredible.

Nice Slann! I like how you combined some new elements with the old model..
