GW News: LAS VEGAS OPEN 2025

Which, btw, are out of print on FW.

Plastic Chaos Dwarfs at long last?

Yup, the entire line of FW Legions of Azgorh is no more. GW seems to have nuked most of the Forge World Fantasy/AoS line. There is almost nothing left.

As for plastic Chaos Dwarfs... wouldn't that be a sight? I'll believe it when I see it. Then again, the Chaos Dwarf they released for Warcry Iron Golem was simply awful. I'll stick with my FW ones!

GW has heard the cries of @Lord Agragax of Lunaxoatl and has rewarded him with yet another... wait for it.... Vampire!! ;)

Big meanie

;)

No way that flowing dress is going to fit on a fantasy square base though.

Yeah and I really don't like the model. I don't think I could ever warm to playing VC. Each of the armies I've chosen was started because I read the lore for the army and something about it kind of spoke to me (yes, including Khorne indicating a have a bit of a warlike streak sometimes).

VC just never fit the bill. And I did try to get to like them as thought they might be fun to play.

What do you expect from an agent of Chaos? :p

That's the best way to choose armies. Personally I am loving all this recent Vampire stuff, not all of it, but most of it. That underworlds Vampire warband is sublime. I am tempted by the VC. They already had a great lineup of models, and now the few underwhelming odds and ends are being shored up to a top quality GW standard.

They look like a blast to play. In game terms, they might be the single most unique faction to play in all of WFB.

I disagree with the model releases being gratuitous this year. Lumineth are just getting the rest of their army which who’s release was delayed due to covid. They’re not getting any more models than other new armies, barring giants at least lol. Slaanesh is quite literally the entire focal point of newest lore updates, if they did not get new models it would be ridiculous. To a point it just seems like sour grapes because we didn’t get anything other than a rules update and a really bad terrain piece. From a game and lore standpoint everything they’ve done in AoS this year has been reasonable.

i was thinking the same.
When characters had to fit the same square base of troops, to field them in formation...

and you have to set this in a serrated rank and file unit: :p

Indeed! What a pain in the backside. I love the WFB rank-and-file system, but in practice it is deeply flawed. The bases should be larger or there should be slight spaces between the bases (smaller than currently used for skirmishers). Not that it would be much of a help in the example you provided above! :p

It shouldn't be so much of a hassle to get models to rank up.

Now THIS is a fantastic model.
Good old Vlad.

Look at his replacement though....

The best I can advise with that scenario is to deploy Vlad on the right hand side of the unit of Skeletons/Zombies/Grave Guard you want to deploy him in so his cloak faces outwards and away from the other models. I agree it's difficult with Finecast/Metal models because they are generally already made and have very little poseability.

With plastic models it's easier - I often find it helpful to place the models side-by-side while building them and, while the plastic glue is still drying, slightly reposition any weapons on each model that clash with models on either side so that all the models interlock into place, or use blu-tack to dry-pose the weapons first to get the poses you want that fit together before gluing. That's how I got my Fyreslayer Vulkites to fit together on 20mm bases to make my Slayer unit.

Im a lizard not being human makes me heretical by default. why would i care what you warm bloods think?

technically, that makes you a Xeno, not a heretic.
So, you will be purged by the Ordo Xenos, not the Ordo Hereticus. :p

The real question is.... is that a lizard inside the Chaplain's armour? Maybe he's talking about humans? Who's to say the lizards didn't take over? How can you be sure? HAVE YOU SEEN HIS FACE?!?!

 :woot: :astronaut: :blackalien:

The lizards live on!!!

(For the record, I've always thought that there should be a lizardmen 40K faction)
