Yep it is, not sure if that is a good thing tho.
To be honest that "model" has Seraphon written all over it. I don't want it associated with Lizardmen. Paint a couple of constellations on it and you're good to go. But please keep it in AoS. So in that sense (and that sense alone) I have come to accept the name.It seems you have accepted their new name. The corruption is spreading, can you feel yourself turning too the dark/light side?
any new models would have to go to AOS, they're not bringing back old hammer, this must be how it felt when they first brought out the salamander sculpt. Disappointing, it's ugly but eh, I will be able to use it in my army. But please keep it in AoS.
Surprisingly, nor would I want them too.they're not bringing back old hammer
While I don't think the Salamander is a beautiful model, it's not that bad if you give it a good paint job. There are many other old models that are far worse in my opinion.this must be how it felt when they first brought out the salamander sculpt. Disappointing, it's ugly but eh, I will be able to use it in my army.
True. I have a Salamander and while I agree that it isn't the most beautiful model I also agree that there were much worse ones.
Together with the 8th and earlier edition rules that's one of the main reasons for me to not play Warhammer before 2016.
But there are lots of amazing older models as well that hold up even to today's standards. Today's models are more detailed, but that doesn't always equate to better.
It´s more like the spit/tongue won´t survive long. I didn´t even finish painting mine before it was broken (and I didn´t use it for game play until finished)I think what bothers me most on old models are the body proportions.
That Carnosaur has a great pose for example, but his neck doesn't fit its body size and such stuff.
As for the tiny details protruding out of them: yeah. Troglodon is a good example. Awesome but it is pretty likely those antennas won't survive long.![]()
The Trex has recently evolved beyond its small armed anscestors. Truly terrifyingNew Seraphon photo leaked.....

I already broke off one part of the split tongue twice. The next time I break it off I'll remove the whole tongue, replace it by my spare part and magnetize that. I did that with other parts and it worked great. No more breaking off stuff that easily, it just moves out of the way and you can snap it back on. The flag thing on the Skink Oracle's back got that treatment as well, also the flag things on my Stegadon. It´s more like the spit/tongue won´t survive long. I didn´t even finish painting mine before it was broken (and I didn´t use it for game play until finished)
I have the exact opposite opinion. I think the body proportions of the new carnosaur is off; it's head feels too small. I love the proportions of the old model, the only gripe that can be made is that it could be a little bigger. That is mainly due to scale creep though.I think what bothers me most on old models are the body proportions.
