GW News: LAS VEGAS OPEN 2025

They should just put a version number or date and the points value on the warscrolls and be done with it.

Well, I'm starting to prepare my moving to México City, I'm starting classes next 7th August and I've to be there one week or two before. But don't worry, I'll keep updating now and then.

However, I'm gonna talk a bit about the GHB 2 and this week's Rumour Engine, as well as share something else with you.

First: I like the fact that GW will include at least 16 (maybe 20-so) Allegiance Abilities. However, it is practically a given that there will be no updates for the previous Battletomes, everyone between the Seraphon Battletome and before the Sylvaneth Battletome. And I do understand that they have to make new products and they can't just keep updating constantly everything first but... doing it this way feels too lazy Imo.

This because the only ones who got a good treat were the SE and Khornate armies, and the Khornate armies didn't even got a brand new model to justify it. It is impossible for the factions to not be relevant on any event since the Season of War, and the last SE and Khorne did introduced some pretty interesting events for them (example, minor spoiler: Korghos Khul, one of the most powerful mortal champions of Khorne, killed a Daemon Prince and now he commands his daemonic army). It looks terribly evident that they only keep attention on them, even while I like them, is boring.

Therefore, I condemn Games-Workshop for their interference against The Great Purpose. You will not be able to stop our wrath.

However, there are good things too. I'm absolutely sure that there will be Allegiance Abilities for Bretonnia and TK, and they will bring a lot of Allegiance Abilities anyway.

I'm concerned with Slaaneshi hosts, tho. This almost means that there are no plans on bring the sexy back to the Mortal Realms for a long while.

I wish there will be new, more general Allegiance Abilities for certain keywords. Wouldn't it be great to have a Duardin army sharing the most basic traits? Or Human armies deploying Stormcasts, Free People and Devoted of Sigmar at once? Both of them using warmachines from the Ironweld Arsenal. Yeah, the Order Allegiance Abilities already kinda covers that, but it'd be awesome for people looking for fluffy rules. Kinda the same for Ogors, but on their case, would be a major improvement. I mean, Firebellies and Maneaters would appreciate it. Only time will tell.

What I don't want is a Nurgle section. 8th Edition 40K Rulebook features what it seem to be brand new Nurgle Beasts, as well as some great looking GUOs that would look amazing on plastic.

Speaking of 40K, I would love to see Advanced Rules in AoS too. I like the game as it is now, but it would be great to have the option to make the games even more complex. I hope for it to be possible on the near future.

Second: This week Rumour Engine is for a new Stormcast Model. I know this because its shape is on the second Battletome:

Third: GW is rebasing plenty of previous boxes from Fantasy. From DakkaDakka, and now in stores, we saw that Skeleton Warriors have been reboxed some months ago, and between then and now, the Gyro ships, as well as Irondwarfs are now on round bases.

At the moment of posting this, Black Knights and Death Guard are marked as "No longer available" on the webstore, as well as Moonclan Goblins. They are probably getting a rebox too, however, River Trolls were also marked as such like a month ago, and a couple of weeks later, they were back on square bases.

Well, I do expect to keep catching-up this thread soon. I'll see you then!

I had a feeling it's a new Stormcast model, they seem to be coughing out more Stormcast than Space Marines at the moment, well they do need the massive line of models to try and get people to play with. How many more chambers after this.... urghhhhh there are a few more Stormcast chambers.

I only like their Gryph-hounds.
If they are opening another chamber, expect a few more than just the rumour picture. If it is a Stormcast rumour.

However, their 40K Facebook entry sharing it heavily imply it is daemonic, and AoS entry also implies that it is a future 40K release.

Plastic Nurgle Beast, calling it. They are already in the first art page of the 8th Edition 40K rulebook, and they should obviously be compatible with AoS.

Tentacle porn!! Slaneesh confirmed! :D

At least that one is not very likely to be Stormcast...

Slaneesh corrupted Stormcast Eternals.

Rules: Can only be played by Grand Alliance: Order. They can hit on 2+ and re - roll failed hits against demons. All damage they do counts as double when fighting Slaneesh. Can run and charge and always strikes first regardless of initiative.

Just yesterday I sat at home wondering: What does AoS need most urgently.... but then it hit me: OF COURSE! MORE STORMCAST MODELS!!!

If it makes you feel any better, every single chamber on the left page has not yet been opened. And each one will come with a Stormcast Battletome.

Pretty sure I will have quit the game until then if there isn't a fundamental change for balancing. I hate it that I am beginning to hate SCE which would have been my second army if they weren't so OP. I like their style, fluff, and the way their abilities work. But balance is horrible.

So many Stormcast, I was in the store yesterday and kept pointing and repeating how Seraphon need an update. But then that time my Kroxi took down Alarielle. Then most of the time we need carefully crafted synergy to keep us going through a game.

No it doesn't, the post is referring to the rumour engine itself, not the post.

Yes... Thank you for quoting exactly what I was referring too?

No, they mention a DAEMON, they could also say that the Rumour Engine is a monster, but they are specifically comparing it with a Daemon. Too much of a coincidence for me.
