Awesome looking steg! Nice dedication to get it completely interchangeable. I really like the steg models so I had to buy two, and will possibly even get a third even though it is not likely I will ever use more than 1 in a game.

it was a lot of work but I think it was worth it in the end.

Here's two more Pics, Because I was kinda disappointed that the color seemed off on the last set.

Incredible job, every time I see a stegadon on Lustria Online, I can't help but think that Lizzies have been blessed with one of the most beautiful model in the game!

Nice work once again, looking forward to seeing more of your army as it progress!

Wip of some 5ed Skinks I was randomly converting into Cohorts. :smug:

I know they don't look like I did much, but it was actualy a lot of work,
I carved off their bows and turned them into shield handles and knives,
I carved out the arows from the quivers and glued in some javelins,
then I carved out those tiny dagers and gave them some proper
hand weapons, also I converted one as a standard bearer, and another
as a musician using a blowpipe as a flute.

Looks pretty good! Its hard to tell by the red paint which throws your eyes off a little bit when you look at them but I remember those models well ;) You did a good job as far as I can tell! Maybe throw in some more Javelins on their backs.. I just think it would look cooler ;)

Well I did manage to get them based and primed black last night,
So at least I don't have to look at that terible red paint any more.

Done any more with your skinks? Your stegadon looks awesome, I LOVE the howdah.

I love the Nakai model. I don't usually like armies with plastic dinosaurs as substitutes, but I love yours.

Yea I got distracted painting the old blood on my Carnie.
(still trying to come up with a decent paint scheme for the Carnie)

Well I put a bit of a white under coat on them...
other wise not so much, but tonight I should
be working on them again and making some progress. :smug:

Hopefully you can post some pictures soon? I'd like to see your Carnosaur when it's finished, by the standards of the rest of your army, it's going to be immense. :spiderman:

Question about your Steg (since I'm building mine hehehe). To make the model interchangeable, did you use magnets or anything?

I would also like to know what colors you used for the steggie's skin.

yup Magnetized,
I believe there are even pictures of where I put the magnets. ;)

I use craft paints, yup the cheap stuff.
so basically the steg is light blue washed over white.
I think i may have used GW's Asurlen blue washed over it,
I may have even thinned that out a bit.

The scales where brownish orange, then dry brushed with orange,
and a light dry brush of yelowish orange.

Well I thought I posted pics of where I put the magnets....
maybe that was in my Warseer blog..? :oops:

and it was yellow over white and orange over the yellow...
I forgot I did it diferently on that one.

I'm pretty sure I remember seeing you posting pics of a magnetised steg, I think it was in one of the specific magnet threads though not here..
