Re: Here's my Lizardmen army so far. (4 more cold ones)

That is a very nice unit you got there N810!

Re: Here's my Lizardmen army so far. (4 more cold ones)

Thanks Totzro and Parrot, :smug:

and don't wory I still have like 10 more to paint. :jawdrop:

Re: Here's my Lizardmen army so far. (4 more cold ones)

That is a lot of CoC and they are all very well painted.

Re: Here's my Lizardmen army so far. (4 more cold ones)

Beautiful army.... your cold ones really look great with the blending of metal and plastic versions - really a unique look that I haven't seen before.

Re: Here's my Lizardmen army so far. (4 more cold ones)

Your bases look really natural. Would it be too much to ask for a step by step with pictures. I think the problem with what I'm doing is more what I'm using. I'd like to see your sand mixture and how you apply it if you don't mind. :)

Re: Here's my Lizardmen army so far. (4 more cold ones)

Look back at the river on page 21 to get the general Idea.

Basically I'm using free natural sand.
Glued on with Elmer's glue (PVA).

First I lay down a layer of straight glue on the base,
then I dump some sand on it and wit for it to dry,
later I brush off the sand and prime the base along with the model,
then I usually paint the model,
then I get back to basing, starting the soil color, usually a dark brown,
I pain the whole base in this color, then dry brush it with a lighter brown,
after that dries I do a light dry brush of dark green, careful to to cover all the
soil colors, then a lighter dry brush of a medium green, and a very light
dry brush of a very bright/light green.
then I might pick out some of the larger stones with layers of grey,
(dark, medium, and highlights)

If there are any spots I screwed up or just look like they need a little something,
I will glue on some green flock with a small spot of super glue.

So, to sum up:

Glue on sand
primer
paint dirt
Paint grass
paint rocks
add flock

Re: Here's my Lizardmen army so far. (1 More Cold One) so l

Fantastic as always good sir :)

Re: Here's my Lizardmen army so far. (1 More Cold One) so l

Nice use of the snakes on the base. I'm definitely trimming the spikes/horns/whateverthestupidthingsare off of them, now that I've seen how it looks.

Re: Here's my Lizardmen army so far. (1 More Cold One) so l

I just went back and looked at all your scenery and game table again. It's so good. I'm really jealous.

Re: Here's my Lizardmen army so far. (1 More Cold One) so l

Hmmm... maybe it time I took another pic of the whole army.... with terrain.

Re: Here's my Lizardmen army so far. (2 down 3 to go)

I might do a shot of my army if I feel motivated today... o_O

Re: Here's my Lizardmen army so far. (2 down 3 to go)

Man, your stuff is crazy good. I would love to play a game on your table.

Re: Here's my Lizardmen army so far. (2 down 3 to go)

Agreed, looks freaking rad. Have you played any mordheim with the lustria setting?
