8th Ed. If you could get GW to produce any single model/unit, what would it be?

The question is simple, if you could advise GW to sculpt and release any model (or unit) for any 8th edition army, what would you have them make? The model you choose should be something that already has 8th edition rules (either from an army book or a supplement). This can be a...
  • unit that never got a model OR
  • unit that you would like to see updated

Who knows... maybe GW will see this and take note (probably not)

Hmmm.... I'll need to think about this. I quite like the Hierotitan model that I got so not sure now... That would have been my first pick.

Since Kroq-Gar already have a rather new and quite good model, contenders for me would be Mazdamundi, Chakax, Gor-Rok or Oxyotl.
Of the four I feel Mazdamundi is the most deserving but the one I'm personally least interested in.
Gor-Rok is the least deserving, because his model is not horrible, though was made in finecast.
Chakax's model is quite nice as well, even though it is old.
That leaves Oxyotl - Might be partly because of him being in the new DLC for TWW2, but I feel his model has not aged well at all. For some reason he is also very small, even smaller than a regular skink, which seems odd to me. I bet he could look very nice with a dynamic pose, and with a nice model I might even try him out (but hopefully my opponent will agree on a points discount).

Those are all really good choices. Oxyotl would definitely benefit from a new model and Mazdamundi would simply be really cool.

I would like to have Mazdamundi as I think a character like him should have a model, but still don't feel is my top choice...

Hmmmm.....

[grinding sounds as LoR tries to get all three hamster wheels powering his brain going.]

My number one choice is a model that I have always wanted to get, my holy grail model if you will. I could never justify the massive price tag associated with and it is now sadly discontinued. Drum roll....

The legendary Forge World Chaos War Mammoth!!

Being a large Forge World model, it was always prohibitively expensive. Apparently the casting mold broke years ago, so it was subsequently discontinued. It pops up on Ebay periodically, but due to its rarity, it is even more expensive now. Many other modeling companies have made versions of it, but none have ever struck a cord with me like the original Forge World model. If anyone can match the original splendor of the Forge World model, it is current day Games Workshop. Seeing it reborn (and in proper GW hard plastic no less!) would be amazing. GW loves to focus on large centerpiece models, and the War Mammoth easily fits the bill. It's large, it's beautiful and it is absolutely epic. They can even give it a stupid copyrightable AoS name... just as along as they deliver on what would be a truly majestic model. Of all the models that GW could produce, this is the one that would be an absolute first day purchase for me. Get on it GW!!

gurren lagann's kamina but as a ork boss
it would be hilarious and actually fits really well
gurren lagann's kamina?

Interesting idea and thoughts.

The first that comes to mind is Tehenauin.

I will think some more of others.

Grrr, Imrahil

That's a good one. The current Tehenhauin model could definitely be improved upon.

Because of this thread I thought of another model

A beautiful sculpt of a Coatl
(I know there are a lot of unofficial models around)

Grrr, Imrahil
So if you had to choose which one GW would produce, would it be the Coatl or Tehenhauin?

Though one... In terms of model design and painting pleasure I will go for the Coatl.
In terms of playability I am not sure...

For me it would be one of the lesser-known Beastman characters - Slugtongue, Moonclaw, Taurox or Ungrol. As I have to choose one, I'd vote for Taurox I think, dually because he's the most impressive and awesome of those and because he's now in Warhammer: Total War and we can finally get a clear view of what he really looks like.
