The head and beard look very realistic. I like it a lot!

I like it a great deal, Gary. Very nice model. If you want to add more to the shield you still can too. That's the beauty of painting miniature armies. You can always touch up more later.

thanks for the tip and the copliment i usually take 2 weeks not 2 days to finish any of my metal minitures

Hehehe I signed up just to post in this thread. (somthing about starting a new army in the new year and posting on a new forum makes my OCD giggle with glee.)

Not much left of the month so i wont plege much, I PLEGE TO FINISH MY FIRST SIX SAURUS.
(I need this kind of encouragement to stay on track otherwise I'll be off looking at the next shiny thing...oooh beastmen I have a cool idea....)

Welcome, Z-Ray! We have an introductions forum if you want to say hi there as well. I love this part of the forum myself, as I need this sort of motivation to get my lazy rump into gear. Good luck on your six Suarus and I can't wait to see them!

I pledge to finish my 12 Skinks by the end of January. (10 done atm.)

Thanks for the welcome Steg' :)

Just Finished my 6 Saurus!
Will post pics tomorow after work.

Well it's a bit late in the month... So
I plege to posibly finish one Saurus Cav model and probaly a hill.

I can't wait until the end of the month to see all these.

yea what are we going to do when someone finishes his pledge of when someone won´t make it before the end of the month ??

Its about personal achievement really.. I'm not going to get mine finished now. I have made a start on my painting guide with a couple of paragraphs and an index, and got Chakax basecoated, but now I have pneumonia and it doesn't look like going away before the end of the month. :(

It seems my inability to focus on one thing for too long has, once again, reared up and bit my plans in the booty. I have begun to make minor conversions on just about everything, so now I have waiting to be painted, 10 temple guard (very few conversions), 14 Cold One Saurus (two with minor conversions, standard bearers), two converted scar vets on cold ones, four terradons, and a slann.
Now that my hours at work have also increased it is unlikely I will get anything further down the road of completion.

by the way strewart, how does one contract pneumonia in Australia of all places?

Your guess is as good as mine. And its the middle of summer, we've just come off a heat wave. Not only that, this is the second time I've had it...

Got some pictures done and thought I should get them up before I start packing for Kiwiburn (NZ fire/dancing festival ala burningman, have to go to put up the tent and keep the girlfriend happy...somhow don't think she would be as supportive if I was going to a 3 day warhammer event. ;) )

enough jawing here come the pics.

Wow!! Beautiful, well done mate, how did you do those shields? :jawdrop:
