Twas I who had this idea. Twas @n810 who made this meme. Not that I'm vain or depending on N810's continued good will to edit my feeble artistic dreams. I wish I could like that twice. I think it was brought up before on this thread or a similar ones. Humans are unique in that we are endurance runners. Early man was terrifying. You get this loser with a spear. You, as an animal made for sprinting runs away, easily. It finds you. You run away again. You don't get to sleep much or have much time to find food. The slow relentless pursuit wears you down. Much like a horror movie where the killer seems to move slowly but never stops. These four noble beings are our only protection from the Old Ones of Chaos and their twisted Lizard minions. Kittens don't land on their feet as well as adult cats. I like to make my steaks with shallots. I've never met an emotional support animal that was well behaved in public.... I freak out if I see a rattlesnake fifty feet away and that's only #10 on most venomous sleeps. Florida Man is the hero we deserve, but not the one we need right now. The key is to add a meat to the pizza, preferably one that isn't Canadian bacon (or as we say in the States, ham)
Cannibalism, is not my style. Until the apocalypse, after that all bets are off. In related news, I am regarded at work as "most likely to survive the zombie apocalypse," and also "most likely to be able to find a 5mm Hex wrench or fix the data projector."
Almost caught up. Here is some more smartass comments about past memes. The bloody civl war has raged on since the Great Banana Split of '04.... I hope my lottery ticket wins, I keep adding new upgrades to my dream house... Is a house always home, or never home? I'd watch it. Florida Man is also a shape shifter. No one knows his true identity.... Maybe Florida Man is the hero we need as well as the hero we deserve! I think the only way episode 9 can fix the franchise is for Luke to wake up in the junkyard "Wow what a weird dream!" Then we can have a story based on the works of Timothy Zahn. Never question a free cake...
Chile's motto is "Keeping Argentina from enjoying the Pacific Ocean since 1810" Mahrlect! There are a lot of bad movies that I liked as a kid because I didn't know any better. The Super Mario Brothers movie, I knew it was bad. Watched an episode of Bones where they said that flushing a toilet with the lid up pushes a fine mist of urine and fecal matter into the air. Air which includes the vicinity of my toothbrush, so I lower the seat entirely. Also there is a passive aggressive element to lowering the seat since I got irked by my mother getting livid about the toliet seat in a house with mostly males. If I put the entire seat down then women have to lift the seat before peeing too. Frosty the snowman Had to hurry on his way But he waved goodbye saying, "Don't you cry I'll be back again some day" Thumpity, thump, thump Thumpity, thump, thump Look at Frosty go Now the lyrics make sense! Fairly often, but we don't think about it much when we use it. Unsure, but obviously oranges were named before carrots were... Army of Darkness is the best "So Bad It's Good" movie I've ever seen. Everyone should watch it. That's actually quite pretty I have now read every single meme on this thread
All homelessness is a tragedy we should try to present. When TV shows try to drum up support for the homeless, they pick a photogenic young woman or girl. Homeless men are typically either invisible (as Oscar is in the article the first part is quoted from) or they are a threat (an ugly green monster) or at worse case a joke (the butt of every joke you grouch!). Okay I may have brought things down too much. Here's a stupid cartoon/song by NSP. It's got some salty language but that is hardly taboo on this thread.
I've been saying this for months. Although, I have Rey wake up and realize all of Ep. 8 is a nightmare.
I’d rather see both 7 and 8 retconned as @Scalenex has put it - 7 sucked far worse for me than 8 and I would love to see all that Starkiller Base cr@p as Luke’s dream or something and then that leads onto Episodes X-XII as either based on Timothy Zahn’s stuff or something completely new and without 70s escapism and canon breaking.
Almost makes me want to brew beer again. Since I turned 30 I drink beer a bit less and my friends drink it a lot less. There is a point where you need to rapidly cool the wort (protobeer). I don't know why but wort that is cooled with snow seems to taste better than beer cooled with ice. (For those making yellow snow jokes, the container is put in the snow or ice, the ice/snow never enters the actual beer). Though it's probably a correlation thing not a causation. I think the beer kits ferment better at the slightly cooler temperatures of Fall and Winter then Spring and Summer. That's so nice I wish I could like it twice. This is one of the reasons why I think Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson series is far better than JK Rowling's Harry Potter series (The Percy Jackson movies are mahrlect terrible). Anyway in that setting the half-mortal children of the Greek gods train together at a camp and they are split up by birth instead of a sorting hat. All the children of Ares gotogether, all the children of Aphrodite go together, etc. Anyway, Ares cabin is the closest thing there is to Slytherin. They are jerks. They are always undermining the main characters. You wonder why the other demigods tolerate them. Then there's a battle and the Ares demigods bravely put their lives on the line to defend the camp and then you are like "Oh, that's why the others tolerate them!" Who would have though the children of War are irritable during peacetime? The same thing applies to the other Cabins on a lesser scale. The Hermes demigods are pretty annoying but they turn their tricks against the enemy often enough that it makes sense they would be tolerated. The Aphrodite campers are pretty useless, but once in a while they do something cool. If there is a problem with how characters are in Riordan's work it would go like this. Is the character the head of his Cabin? Yes: pay attention to their interesting character development and contribution to the plot. No: It's okay if you forget his/her name. It won't matter. What Cabin is he or she the head of: One of the 12 ruling Olympians: Yes. Is the Cabin headed by twins? No The character's contributions will matter all the time. Yes They are comic relief. One of the lesser Olympians: Flip a coin. Heads: They are comic relief Tails At some singular point in the future there will be an obscure problem that only their powers can solve. In the meantime enjoy their funny antics And the same problem Rowling has. Are the characters twins? Yes: Don't worry telling them apart, it's not like they are separate characters. Less scary maybe. More creepy, oh yes...
