Same - I used to use a postcard and a cup to remove arachnid visitors too, but now I’ve upgraded to a special bug-catcher:

Simply pull the slider back with your finger to open the green plastic trapdoor, place the capsule over the bug and push the button forward again to slide the trapdoor under the bug’s feet so that it’s captured. Then slide it back again once you’re outside to release the bug back into the wild!

And what's wrong with using your hands?

Or do you not like bugs?

For me it is the fear of hurting the bugs/spiders.
I catch some of the bigger or sturdy ones (there is a species of small black bugs here, you can hardly destroy them with your bare fingers if you try, magnificent little creatures) with a with my hand, but mostly I avoid touching them in order to not damage their legs/antennae/wings etc.

My son got a bearded dragon for Christmas, they eat spiders but luckily he won't pick them up and I won't feed them to it, I don't mind it eating crickets but not spiders.

Any spider? :(

Oh yes, any spider that's int the house will be hunted down (though not by me necessarily, depending on the size I will get my "hired" muscle to handle that).
I haven't actually seen Lucas the Spider, sure it is not as terrifying as a real one, but it's still a spider, so it's a no go for me, and I agree with NIGHTBRINGER here

There can be no mercy!
