In a realistic collapse (and structural decay after 1000 years) any remnants from the bridge would be unrecognizable.
I see your Colosseum, and raise you some Egyptian Pyramids! Those things were already 2000 years old when the Colosseum was being freshly built.it won't stand as the roman colosseum!
This very discussion we're having started out from you recognizing the collapsed structure Golden Gate Bridge.

It's a cool structure. The Mrs. and I enjoyed our short time in Rome. It was sad to see the damage that was done to the Colosseum in a short-sighted effort to extract resources from it.But i mentioned the colosseum because its damage was man made, when at a certain point it was partially dismantled to recover the shaped stones. Otherwise it would stand almost brand new!
The question that springs to my mind though: Would this be the way the bridge stands after braking down.
Lets say that the bridge deck would collapse or one or both cables brake. This would cause an imbalance in the structural system of the bridge, meaning: the weight distribution over the pylons would be unequal causing (at least) one of the pylons to collapse as well.
The only way for both pylons to be still standing is when both cables brake on multiple places at once. Which is highly unlikely.
Grrr, Imrahil
you're making an assumption. There are something like a hundred+ bridges in the world that look like that
because those LOOK like sagging doesn't mean they are cables coming off of those towers. Many bridges of similar make had steel tubing sections with cables running through the center of them.

So will you give the game a chance and give it a play through?
I am not a gamer anymore, I hardly can find the time to hobby so gaming is even harder to find time for![]()
I'll call that a partial success on the part of my campaign. But at least I will be less negative about it.
I'm not looking for spoilers so I didn't watch the video, did he have a positive view of the game?Well...
